Haven't been to a Chuck A Rama in 20 years. I must say for an all you can eat buffet, I was pleasantly surprised. The food and icecream overall is much better than Golden Corral. The cakes were slightly dry but the frozen yogurt and brownie sundaes were great. Normally, I focus on a salad, some protein, then desserts. However, I only ate one plate of dessert. Why? The food was really good so much so that I didn't get to try everything I wanted. Not cafeteria grade at all. The lasagna was amazingly good and I am not a fan of ricotta cheese. I didn't even think I would have enjoyed Italian night but I will return. Great salad bar with lots of options. Would have like to have seen a fat free dressing option. Rolls are great. Bbq beef was gluten free. For dinner, they offer ham, turkey, and beef. The theme for the day appears to be offered all day. The baked chicken was moist and very hot. Lots of drink options including a banana slurpee. Drinks are included in the price. They also had birch beer! Great location. Staff was very nice and friendly. The bathrooms were clean. Buffet area was clean. Price was very fair, would have spent the same at an Italian restaurant. The lasagna was well worth the price. Will return.
COVID 19 Update... Recently returned under the new normal. I can say that everything you liked before is still there and tastes just as good. Here are some changes you can look forward to...
📅 Date of Visit: 1/31/2021
💬 OVERVIEW - 3.6 Came here for dinner for my wife's birthday. It seemed like a good option, all you could eat... Come to find out, this is an ultra, top secret meeting place for 65+ year olds.
🗺️ LOCATION - 5 Located on Main Street right off the freeway can't be a better location.
💲 PRICE - 4 To be honest, I wasn't too thrilled with the price. $13.99 per adult for dinner (mind you we paid for this price at 4:10pm).
🍲🥤 PRODUCT/SERVICE - 2 When it comes to the food, dining here as a senior citizen I'm sure is a great advantage. The tastebuds, surely don't function as well as they once used to, so mediocre is actually rather delicious. Even though I saw the staff frequently testing temperatures and whatnot, the food tasted past their prime. The honey butter for the scones was nasty, too buttery taste and less honey taste. The only thing that tasted decent was the peach cobbler. However, the lasagna that I had was rather delicious. I also enjoyed the Strawberry Yogurt 🍨. I also had the breaded shrimp 🍤 which was yummy with garlic bread 🍞 as well.
📢 POINTERS/PERKS - 4 Come a few minutes before 4pm to get the dinner plates. More bang for the buck. They also have an awesome display of a chuckwagon in the entrance with a I Spy Challenge that is kind of fun. I also enjoyed the various historical photos of the area.
👩 EMPLOYEES - 3 The "waitress" was nice. The reason I use quotations, is I don't know if she was a full-fledged waitress as she welcomed us at the beginning and asked if we would like some drinks (they're self-serving anyways), and then cleared our table once. I've always been confused about if they are waiters or not... Also, I'm thoroughly convinced that the employees in the kitchen don't understand English... Language barriers can sometimes be an issue...

Read moreThe five of us sat in a corner booth with scrumptious food. The waitress Jen was so friendly and prompt. She went to get our drinks, always kept them topped off, and quickly cleared each dirty dish we set on the edge. She even went to get me a serving of the clam chowder when I said my drink was fine. I happened to have both kids to my one side and my two friends to my other side making it a bit tricky to extricate myself from the booth. Both the chowder and the tomato basil soup were delicious. The special salad samples, stuffing, turkey pot roast with potato wedges and finger sized carrot chunks, fried fish piece (which is resting on my clam chowder), and half of a chicken enchilada were all fabulous. The French Fries were utterly fantastic, the best I have ever tasted in the last decade, no joke. The charming decor and chuck wagon are super fun. My sole complaint is with the small piece of chicken I grabbed with tongs right across from the stuffing. I don't know what happened in the oven roasting but it was Extremely dry to chew. My dear friend grabbed a large piece and she had to move it to a take away dirty plate that Jen carried off swiftly. My friend hunted for a different meat to eat and came back to our booth quoting the old "Where's the Beef" commercial slogan from back in the day. I suggested that the yummy moist turkey pot roast might fill in. If we had gone to Chuck-a-Rama on a different day of the week of course the food selection would have been different since they rotate the themes of the menu. Two big thumbs up for being practically perfect (aside from the one dry chicken)! Oh, and everyone really loved both the vanilla and especially the...
