My first time here. Menudo bowl was over priced, hardly any meat and even less hominy. Taste was okay but to spice for a menudo. Also something that I did not care for was we could not mix the soft taco plate, was forced to order three of same kind. So we did an add-on of 01- carnitas taco. After we sat down, was told carnitas ran out for the day. Mmmm, very odd because family behind us order carnita tacos and I seen tacos come to the table. Service was below average and the place was hotter than an oven. Not very comfortable to have Fathers Day lunch and the music kept skipping on the CD . When we ask if they can turn down the music due to the annoying skipping, was told they can not turn it down. We never got fork to eat meal, had to ask twice. Tacos also came out wrong, ask for no chilly on tacos and they came out with jalapeños and the asada was dry and over cooked, same with the rice on the plate. Will not be...
Read moreCafecito used to be one of my favorite places to come to for a blend of a Mexico city and Puebla style breakfast/ lunch. Since they have had a change of ownership or staff the place is now very poor. We came in for our last time today. Service was horrible. They have 5 employees standing around with " I do not know what to do" looks on their faces. My meal came out messed up. They were out of coffee, my wife asked multiple times, no sense of urgency from the staff. Apparently they also ran out of plates and started serving people's food in styrofoam to-go containers. If their goal was to have more staff that stand there doing nothing, less options, horrible service, and a trash experience.... They achieved that goal. We will not be back and recommend the same to others. Good by cafecito lindo unfortunately you are no...
Read moreI've been meaning to visit this restaurant for a few weeks now and I must say the wait was well worth it. The interior design of the restaurant feels authentic to a place in Mexico. Customer service was amazing and very familiar. I had a torta and for once I ate everything on it am not a fan of tomatoes in my food. What really sold me was the cafe de olla, I was left basically speechless with it. This extremely familiar aroma and taste brought me such nostalgia of the old country. It's been 17 years since I've had something like this and I instantly recognized it. Definitely will be coming back and letting more people know about this amazing...
