Been here a few times. Usually pretty decent: hot, tasty and fresh, with nicely deep-fried tofu and tangy General Tso's. However, today I got bland vegetable dishes with runny, watery "sauce". I have never had mu shu pancakes before so I cannot speak to the authenticity, but these seemed like tortillas. I can chalk that up to my inexperience with the dish; it was still disappointing. What annoyed me the most, besides the lack of flavor or thickener in the sauces, was the skimpy portion of tofu in my entree. I know these fast food places skimp, but with my buying a lot of dishes from them in this order, a little more generosity would have been preferred. Might give them another try and revisit my review, but Fortune Palace, whom Moon Wok is possibly trying to drive out of business by moving in across the street, are far better (they ARE more costly, so it seems that you get what...
Read moreJust found this place since in an old shopping center tucked uphill away from the main road sight. Very good food, but over priced for what you get. All these little places now want Bo Lings prices, but without their atmosphere of a nice sit down special occasion restaurant. Lunch and dinner special in same carton but charge more for same dinner. Both in small container. More sauce, rice, and cheap vegetables than meat, authentic chinese vegetables. Do not know if will return. Run down sketchy middle Eastern businesses and bar in rest of the strip mall not comfortable to visit either. Maybe if lower prices back to pre covid supply excuses all the Chinese places used to raise prices. C'mon, not much supplies imported anyway when only using mostly zuchini carrot broccoli prob with american soy sauce even vs chinese spices and ingredients. Keep the chop...
Read moreI been going there for years, there's a different between lunch and dinner containers... Normally I do lunch and it's a double black container half rice and half food. Dinner is a full black container and they put your rice in a white and red box . Well tonight I ordered what I normally get for years, they gave me the half container which is the lunch container. I called moonwok to ask why I got the LUNCH CONTAINER for dinner. She said that's the right container.. I been going to moonwok so I know my containers. She wouldn't listen to me at all so I told her she lost a valuable customer and hung up .. smh. I took a picture of the container. She told me lunch they use white containers, I have NEVER HAD A WHITE CONTAINER FOR MY FOOD. I'm very disappointed. Again I have never had my food in a white...
