I ordered a sandwich tray for my daughter's 30th birthday celebration. The celebration was going to be at a studio in Westport, but since my daughter lives in Lenexa, I chose this location to order from because it had the highest rating of the two locations near my daughter. We had been running behind from setting up the studio for the party, and I was 45 minutes late from the time I scheduled my pick-up for. When I arrived they said that a frat-boy-looking white guy, driving a white suv-like truck, had come in and said that he was picking up a sandwich tray order and gave my name. The gals mentioned that it was the only sandwich tray order they had, so they didn't question it. I showed them my confirmation email, which confirmed I was at the correct location. The gals were very nice about it and said they called their manager to see what they should do. They checked my ID, then went ahead and made me another sandwich tray (yet, with less meat than they used to come with, even though they advertise there's more meat). Yet, this put me even more behind and my daughter had to finish setting up her own party by herself. Even though the gals were really nice and I tipped them an additional $20 in cash for quickly solving the problem without being mean or grumpy, I'm only giving one star. It's hard to say what really happened. Maybe someone working there alerted a friend that I hadn't picked up my tray yet. It was weird to hear that someone picked up the only sandwich tray, which was mine and said they were picking it up specifically for me, when I hadn't told anybody else I was ordering it. My suggestion is that stores request a pick-up person be provided when ordering, and that person or the original person ordering must pick it up or the store calls the phone number on the order if someone else end up there...
Read moreSo I admit I haven't been in goodcents in 10 years. Back when it first opened as Mr goodcents it was great. They sliced the meat in front of you. Their sandwiches were bigger. It was fair value. Everything was so fresh. It was way better than Subway.
Time went on and I'm sure they needed to cut corners to show good profit because they were going to be purchased by another company. At least that was my guess. At some point the quality decreased portions got smaller it just wasn't the same anymore I even think they stopped cutting the meat in front of you. They even changed the name and got rid of the Mr. I stopped going.
Today I was going to pick a burger and Wendy's drive through was the closest thing. Luckily for me the line was super long and I didn't feel like waiting. I saw goodcents was just across the parking lot so I pulled in there went inside and took a minute to view the menu. I ordered Italian sandwich on wheat the bread was soft and fresh they cut the meat in front of me. Just like the old days. I ate half the sandwich and it was delicious. Definitely will be going back now more regularly. Thank...
Read moreThis has happened now every time we have placed an order on the app — they prioritize walk ins. I placed order at 1040 for an ASAP pick up. It said it’d be ready at 11. I came at 1055. And I called to let them know I was there. I have watched 12 people walk in and out with orders. And it’s now 11:16 and it’s still not here. I have a screaming toddler In my car. I have called in and talked to them 3 x and each time they told me it’s on its way out, and then here I said. So it has taken them over 30 minutes to get an order out of four sandwiches.. my kid is in remote school and his lunch break is half over now. I will definitely be using Jersey Mike’s for sandwich orders if we are ever on a time crunch because it’s clear that the app pushes you to the bottom of the line. The whole point of ordering an app and doing curbside pick up is to save time and minimize exposure for both those in the restaurant as well as my own family. And we are penalized for it.I miss the old manager because they used to treat us well. We have been regulars but ever since management changed, it’s gone...
