First and foremost, I want to address the two owners, brothers. If I were in your shoes, I would secure that vacant space next door before someone else leases it. You gonna need it! I recently moved back to Macomb County after living in Wayne County for 38 years, 16 years in Dearborn. As a result, I frequently pass by this restaurant, which used to be called something else, like Shawarma or something. A couple of months ago, I noticed that the name had changed to Al Ammar Kabob. My daughter visited us and had dinner with her family there, before coming to our home . She raved about the food, claiming it was the best Middle Eastern she had ever tasted. My wife and I decided to try it out yesterday, and she was absolutely right. Let me share my experience with you. I’ve had the opportunity to dine at Middle Eastern restaurants while traveling on a ship in the Navy and at some of the most renowned high-end establishments in the Middle East, Greece, Italy, Morocco, and beyond. I’ve also eaten in top-notch restaurants in Las Vegas, California, Detroit, and its surrounding suburbs. In conclusion, Alammar Kabob far surpasses any other restaurant I’ve ever been to. Here are some of the things that impressed me: The chefs at Alammar Kabob are incredibly skilled and have an exceptional palate. I’m not sure if you inherited the recipes from your grandmother or not, but if you did, I’m proud of you. I’m glad you chose to locate your restaurant on 26 Mile Road. Please don’t make any changes, including your suppliers. The waitress we had, Kristine, had an amazing attitude and was just as friendly as the rest of the staff. Thank you for your excellent service to us and your hospitality. We decided to eat in and we witness the chaotic scene of carry-out orders, It was incredible how much business they were handling, swamped with customers, and maintaining complete control over everything. And let me tell you, the cleanliness was impeccable. My wife opted for their sandwich Combo, which included a chicken shawarma sandwich, while I decided to venture a bit further and order the combo plate ($39.00). They served garlic and bread, and let me tell you, the garlic was the best I’ve ever had. I could have easily consumed that alone and been satisfied. I also ordered a bowl of their lentil soup, and I’m thrilled to say that it’s now my go-to soup. I couldn’t stop eating it throughout my meal. It’s simply irresistible!l and very addicting. The salads we had were fattoush for the wife and mine came with my combo. I could have easily eaten just the salad, and it was absolutely massive! Both salads were huge. The salads were incredibly delicious and fresh. Every ingredient was crisp, mouthwatering, and perfectly seasoned. The dressing was just right, and the vegetables they used were fresh and flavorful. My wife and I couldn’t stop talking about the food throughout our dinner/on our way home. She even offered me a bite of her chicken shawarma, and let me tell you my taste buds were in heaven! It was a chicken shawarma like no other. Moist, perfectly cooked, and seasoned to perfection. In my combo, I had chicken and beef, both of which were incredibly moist and delicious. The falafel was a refreshing change from the dry falafel I’ve had at other Middle Eastern restaurants. It was moist and pleasant to eat. The chicken shawarma was simply amazing and I couldn’t resist dipping it in the garlic sauce and it was incredibly addictive. In fact, everything we ate was incredibly addictive and delicious. You absolutely must try this place. This restaurant is, hands down, the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. I’m talking about all the top food celebrities restaurants I’ve ever been to. Food: 6 stars Atmosphere: Amazing, with the constant flow of takeout orders. I couldn’t find a single flaw in this restaurant. The only suggestion I have is that they expand their space because after only being here for two months, it’s clear that they’re getting a lot of business. So, I suggest they lease the space next door and create a dedicated...

Read moreThis was my second visit here. The food is excellent and certainly enough for 2 meals! The luncheon special that I had was a salad-piled high in the bowl, a side of their homemade garlic and pita bread , the entree was a lot of well seasoned rice, deboned and grilled chicken and a side of hummus with fresh grilled vegetables on the side. It was delicious and as I mentioned before-more than enough for 2 full meals. The manager, Bree was very friendly and sat at my table for a moment and said how much she enjoyed her job. I could tell how much she loved her job by the way she greeted every customer that came in. If there was one thing that was on the down side-it was an extremely hot day and very muggy outside. Therefore, the air conditioning was either set at a higher temperature or it was having a hard time cooling the restaurant down. I also would have loved a big glass of ice water. They served water in a 6-7 “ glass and as warm as it was in there, it was not refreshing. They have cans of pop that can be purchased also. I don’t think that they have an ice machine. That would have been welcome to me. These are minor details though. My lunch was superb and I will either visit for lunch again or get a...
