I wanted to go to the nearby taco Bell and my mom wanted to go here. We saw two cars and knew that they typically take forever (if there's one car in front of you, you can expect to easily wait over 15 minutes) so we went to taco Bell first. We came back and the same cars were still there. They hadn't even ordered but there was no one at the window and the dining room is closed due to covid-19. So I don't know what she was doing. So we wait. Then that car finally gets their food and leaves. We assume the car in front of us would be done ordering soon as we've been sitting there for over 15 minutes now. Then I hear her say "I'll be with you in one moment". After another 8 minutes I hear her saying that they're out of lettuce and pretty much everything until they get their truck in tomorrow. This isn't just an isolated incident. This subway has been a hot mess for years. Always, always understaffed, workers typically aren't friendly and don't have a good understanding of how to use the register. I've even had a worker complain to me about the management there. Overall, they're slow and have a lot of rude workers but tonight was just ridiculous. There's not many places to eat around where we live so we decided to wait for 25 minutes and never even ordered. Went back to taco Bell for my mom and when we left there the car still wasn't done ordering. Update: this subway is very hit or miss. Is say 1 in 5 experiences are good. I just left and they were good. But the time before that the worker yelled at me. Literally yelled at me. She left her mic on the whole time while helping other customers so when it was my turn I didn't know she was talking to me so she started yelling "are you here for door dash?". I said no and then I hear "I'll be right with you. What can I get you?" So I ask again if she's talking to me and she very rudely yells " YES! " at me even though I told her I didn't know what was happening bc she left her mic on. Then she had the nerve to ask me for a tip. Read moreThis particular Subway is closest to my home, but from past experience, I try to avoid it. The franchisee must be overwhelmed or no longer cares. The location is always understaffed, although I suspect there is someone in the back doing something else, irregardless; there is always a long wait. the front counter staff looks completely miserable, they appear to be quite annoyed by any customers presence. I have never been greeted upon entering this location. The staff is lethargic at best, very slow.
I write this today because it is frustrating. Subway sandwiches are overpriced at best. Corporate is pricing themselves out of business so to go to Subway is almost a luxury these days, and to be met with such disdain to pay for food service is infuriating.
To the owners of Subway at 26 Mile & 94, Lenox; your Poor Reputation is earned.
Edit To be fair, I did not read any other reviews prior to posting this. They do however, have a poor word of mouth reputation in our community, After reading the reviews, I find that my experiences here over the past few years are not unique.

We were the only two in this establishment and it’s as if they were trying to rush us out the door as they had something better to do. As soon as we began to choose the first toppings, the employee kept repeating “ I asked if u wanted anything else.” My apologies you were fed up with my first wrap and second choice of vegetable toppings. I have been to the same establishment in the most sketchy areas of Detroit and their professionalism made these two employees in Macomb County look like snot dripping whiny babies.
