New Haven Coney Island — Restaurant in Lenox Township

Iv lived in New Haven my entire life and hardly ever come to the Coney Island and today I remember why…. They closed at 3, we arrived at 2:20 we planed on a quick lunch so I figured 40 minutes was more then enough time (3 tables arrived after us) alone with a very simple order a salad a cup of soup and a club sandwich, the first thing they did was bring out my bowl of soup and put it in the microwave right in front of me? Um no thank you, if the soup was cold and down for the day they could have informed me when I ordered it not tried to give me reheated food if I wanted a microwaved bowl of soup I would have ate at home? I then very politely declined the soup and just said I’d prefer not to eat the reheated soup…. The entire time from walking in to walking out the waitress and cooked talked about how they close at 3 and complained about us being there the waiter said “don’t look now” and every time I car pulled in (the 3 tables that arrived after us) I have actually never felt so unwelcome in an establishment, the food was sloppily plated and I felt like we had to scarf down are food and leave as soon as we sat down. I actually contemplated walking out after we put our order in because of how rude she was about the soup and Iv never done...

Always solid food with a large menu at fair prices. Employees are all very real people that are kind and do a great job. They recognize regulars and treat everyone kindly. It's a breakfast and lunch place the closes around 3pm everyday.

Sometimes they have specials advertised at the door that aren't from the menu and it is worth trying out. Today I had a special called Italian chicken tenders not really knowing what to expect. It ended up being basically chicken parmesan chicken strips with delicious garlic bread and close to two pounds of spaghetti for like 8 bucks! I should have taken a picture!

I will continue coming here about once a week as it is close to work and...

Been coming here for years to get take out orders. Today was busy so i didnt mind the wait. But i asked to pay ahead so when its done i could just go since she just finished ringing someone else up. The waitress with white hair was rude and rushed through the transaction with an attitude. She was in such a rush to get rid of me i didnt even get a chance to add a 3 dollar tip i always give each visit. If i was to have her as a waitress id likely just leave. Horrible customer service. Having a shirt reading "allergic to mornings" while working mornings is also...
