Frosty Queen — Restaurant in Lenox Township

I really wish I could rate it higher - the ice cream [and many other offerings, including chicken, hot dogs, burgers, etc] are delicious, and the atmosphere is cute, but... The wait here is often quite lengthy and the prices - wow, the prices are just not justifiable, in my mind! I would love to take my family here every weekend or something like that, but instead, we only go a few times per summer; it's just hard to swallow the pricetag of like, $5.50 for a Sunday that costs just a fraction of that to make. Perhaps if they were located in a Go-To tourist hotspot like Mackinac Island or something, I could see it. But they're not; they're located along a corridor of a smaller-sized middle-class community in Macomb County... As a consumer going to support my local community eatery, I should feel happy to spend a bit more than I could otherwise spend at home or at a bigger chain that doesn't provide the small-town atmosphere. I get that. But I shouldn't feel like I'm getting taken for a sucker as I shell out $18 for 4 small, basic ice cream desserts for a few kids and my wife. Ugh. I just can't get myself to offer a high rating to this over-priced local attraction. I...

Not many places serve Dole Whip Ice Cream. I specifically love coming here for that reason as I can’t have regular ice cream. This now has been my 3rd time coming here in the last few weeks just to get their Dole Whip and once again they were not able to provide me it. The first time they said their machine was down. That’s understandable. The second time they said they didn’t have their machine up and running yet (which they had been open already for an hour) finally, I wait in line for 45 minutes and get up to the speaker and the guy says “The machine is down for cleaning” I was furious as I arrived there before they closed. I told the guy that I didn’t mind the wait, but I was upset about the Dole Whip not being available. I asked the guy at the window, “ why would you shut it down for cleaning when you’re still open for business?” He didn’t say anything.

Overall, I understand it’s probably not the most popular item on the menu, but if you can’t provide services for this item, then please take it...

We have been coming to this establishment for 8 years, and have always enjoyed our experience. However there are new owners this year and this experience was sub standard. They were out of numerous things, no dole soft serve, no blue moon ice cream etc ordered a cherry sundae, it tasted nasty! When I told the girl she said they could make me something else but I would be charged. I threw it in trash and left. After getting in my car, I had second thoughts as to how i had been treated. We pulled around to drive through and after explaining to the people there, I was asked what would I like them to do? Make me something edible, and they did. But why should I have to go through all that. My husband later told me his brownie frosty was stale,and sons stated his frosty also tasted old. Customer service needs to improve, quality and availability of product needs improvement, most of all staff attitude needs to be addressed! Since it is a new business,I hope they will make necessary...
