A SECOND REVIEW. SOMEHOW, MY FIRST ONE DIDN'T GO THROUGH, BUT I'M LEAVING IT ON HERE: IT FOLLOWS THE NEWEST, AND LAST, AS I'LL NEVER EAT AT LEWISBURG TN WENDY'S. Stopped here while waiting for a prescription was being filled. The place IS cleaner, but the same issues with poor service remains. No one seemed to know what to do. We had placed our order, and had to wait while several employees literally bumped into each other, not knowing who was doing what job. We were waiting at the counter, so we could see that no one seemed to know what their job was. We were given the wrong meals twice. When we did get ours, the burgers were lukewarm, the fries were cold, the nuggets were ok. Neither of us could eat our meals. Oh yeah, 1 pickle slice, 1 partial onion ring, a tiny bit of ketchup. No one behind the counter could find the salt packets, and the bin was empty. Never again! We used to eat at Wendys once a week. Not anymore!
It's amazing how much difference there can be within a chain. When we go to most other Wendys, we get fast service, a clean dining area, and clean restrooms. Sadly, our town's Wendys (Lewisburg TN) doesn't begin to measure up to the others. We stopped going to this one before covid, but thought we'd try it out today. Big mistake! The wait for ordering took several minutes, even though there was only one person there, waiting for his order. The wait for our food was much too long. We ordered two of the new jalapeno popper chicken sandwich combos, which we've gotten at other Wendys. These couldn't compare. Very little sauce, not many peppers, and the sandwiches and fries weren't hot. The soft drink machine had a large puddle of water around it, which could have caused an accident. When I reported this to an employee, he said 'oh no, again?' Worse than all of this, when I went into the ladies room, I found there was no toilet paper, the floor and sink were dirty, and I decided to wait until we got home. If they let a restroom look like that, can you imagine what handwashing by the employees must be? I'm going to report this to the local Health Department, and we certainly won't be back to this Wendys! They should be ashamed...
Read moreThis is easily the worst Wendy's I've ever eaten at, and that's a shame because I really enjoy the chain. I can honestly say that it is certainly the most consistent restaurant I've ever been to, it is consistently appalling. I go back from time to time thinking "maybe it'll be better" "maybe they're under new management" but nope, still terrible. Last time I went was last Saturday at around 1pm, and I waited in line for over half an hour. I thought "at least it'll be fresh" guess again, everything was cold, the nuggets tasted like fish, the fries were ice cold (I would have rather had a nice piece of cardboard) and the lettuce was wilted and nasty. How on earth do you wait that long at a fast food restaurant and still get cold food? I'm a forgiving person, but I gotta draw the line somewhere. I'm tempted to tweet Wendy right now and just ask her to shut the place down. I highly doubt I'll go back. Do yourself a favor and grab a hotdog that's been sitting on the rollers for 6 hours at the shell down the road, I promise the the food poisoning will be better than the experience you'll have at...
Read moreI had an experience at the restaurant today which is probably the result of the attitudes of two employees.
I arrived at the drive through and was greeted with the standard response, however before I had retrieved my phone from my pocket, I had been asked for my order 3 times. On ordering each item (a la carte) I was questioned about my choice of size terminology, usually mid-word. I tried to order a cheeseburger, but was repeatedly referred to the meal items. I was interrupted on every item with questing as to my choice of terminology (I had started ordering a regular order of fries, and was told in the air of someone ordering a small coffee at Starbucks that no such size existed, and was then questioned again each time after I started using the word medium, which the order taker had made clear that he would accept no other term).
Even after attempting to conform to their rules, the voice over the speaker changed. I've done fast food. I know that I had then been kicked up the food chain to a manager and identified as a problem customer. Nope. Last insult. Will not...
