Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Lewiston

I think they caused me a cold sore on my lips. I ordered a pizza but I wanted to give a tip in cash, the website was not allowing me to put 0.00 in tip on my card for some reason. So i put a penny. I had a nice crisp 10 dollar bill I knew the driver would appreciate, especially cause im on the farther end of the delivery drive from them... Turns out they took the penny on the website as an insult and the driver gave me my box and slammed a penny on the box yelling "You need this more than me!" Mean while I was holding the 10 dollar bill with the same hand I was reaching for the box. The old man then promptly turns away. Still confused about the situation I asked if he didn't want the tip and he said he is sure and he walked away quickly.

After I ate about two slices it really hit me how weird that was and I remembered. Oh man the PENNY, he must of thought i was skimping him. So i immediately threw the pizza away. A few days later My lip developed a massive cold sore... And after 2 or so weeks I still have it and I am 100% confident I got it from this papa johns employee. So im never going to shop there again and im quickly telling everyone to avoid that place. If he was really upset about the lack of tip on the recipt he should discuss that with his manager to pay him more, But i was going to take care of him cause I know what its like to work jobs like that. I know they like immediate cash more than receiving it on their paycheck... Please avoid this place, they get violent even if its sneaky...

Lewiston Maine store..Placed a delivery order at 9am.. needed 5 pizzas delivered to an address 1 mile away from their restaurant and i specifically requested they be delivered at 1130am.. I was buying lunch for about 30 employees (I run a staffing agency - was rewarding them for working all week) and their lunch is at a specific time. The pizzas were 2 HOURS LATE getting delivered and when I repeatedly called they didn't even APOLOGIZE or offer me anything for the screw up... I WOULD NOT reccomend using this place for anything more than personal meals.. They COMPLETELY RUINED about 30 people's lunch that day and didn't even seem to care about it! They never even said "sorry" they simply said they got slammed with orders right after I placed mine... I called 90 minutes in advance! Horrible customer service at the Lewiston...

I called to order food at 155 in the morning because online it says that they are open until 230 and stop taking orders at 210 and when they answered the phone I was asked carry out or delivery I said delivery then was told hold on a sec and literally was a sec and then I was told the store was closed. In my opinion the phone should of never even been answered if they are closed seems to me like they are lazy and just didn't want to do the job set out at hand for which they was hired for all to be able to start closing up for the night so that they could get out a couple of minutes early if the place says it's open until a certain time then it should be staying open right up to that time and not until not a minute sooner should...
