I hadn’t realized because I am new to Popeyes and they don’t have any kids meals listed on their drive through menu, but I ordered a kids tender meal and it comes with a single tender. I pulled back around thinking it was a mistake and they said that is how it is supposed to be. I explained when I ordered last time the kids got a bunch of chicken, and the said I must have ordered the boneless wings… hard to know when I have to images or specifics on the menu. So after spending 17 dollars on the kids meal and talking to the manager, and inquiring why I don’t get a toy when it’s included in the price, I had to pay 12 more dollars for the 12 boneless wings that I thought I was getting. $30 dollars folks for three kids meals that were very stale, actually hurting your tooth to eat stale. Read moreMy only real complaint is the horrendous job the engineers did to implement the drive-through. It is a real guess when you exit the drive-through if you are going to hit the bollard or the curb. There is a trash can on the split island for the drive-through that I'm surprised that it hasn't been hit. Do not go here if you have a four-door truck or a long car. It is that tight. Even the double drive-through makes turning left towards the window a real tight squeeze. When winter does come to Maine, this drive-through is going to be completely inaccessible.
The food isn't quite up to Portland's location yet, but honestly, it's par for the course for a new restaurant. I've ordered chicken wraps that are literally completely apart. The restaurant was filthy - trash bins were overflowing, and the bathroom was dirty with an overflowing sink. The staff showed little urgency, and communication was nonexistent. We waited 50 minutes for our food with no warning from anyone. The front was filled with frustrated customers, some waiting up to an hour. They even lost track of my order until I handed them my receipt. When we first arrived, only two people were ahead of us, so the delay was unacceptable.
