AJ's Wings & Things — Restaurant in Lexington

Ordering from AJ's Wings & Things was definitely a great choice on my part. The experience was a five star from the phone call to the end. The young man who answered the phone and took my order was polite and professional and read my order back to me to make sure it was accurate. When I arrived at the drive thru, the lovely Nicole who greeted me was a breath of fresh air. Our small talk consisted of the growing pains of being a new establishment and trying to get the word out to gain more customers. I live about 10 minutes from the restaurant and let me tell you, the aroma tantalized my nose the entire ride home. I was pleased when I opened the bag and saw that they had cut a small slit in the top to vent the steam so it didn't make the food inside all soggy, double kudos for that. On to the amazing food. I ordered the naked wings sweet and spicy with sweet potato souffle and coleslaw. It was all fresh and amazing! The wings were a bit on the small size, but the amount they give you for the price makes up for that. My first visit, but surely not my last! AJ's is my new spot for wings!!! My second time supporting this new business & it will be my last. I stopped in to order dinner to-go with four children. I specifically asked the young lady at the counter how many chicken tenders were in the $8 Kid's Meal. She said two. I asked if a drink was included she said no. No problem. I got 4 Kid's meals. Two hot dog & fries & two chicken tenders & fries. Waited a pretty significant time, two other orders were done before mine. A couple that was there before me & a couple that ordered after me. Received the order & left without checking the boxes. To my surprise once I got home...only one chicken tender! So I called the business to inquire & repeated what I was told during my selections, was told you only get one...how disappointing that staff communication is not consistent. Nor was good customer service prioritized! I would have honored what was said initially. One chicken tender!? I can go across the street to Wendy's & depending on time, I can get a drink, toy, 4 nuggets, AND fries for under $5!!! That's where...

The store front is so clean and has really cool art inside. The people are friendly and the food, omg the food. My mouth was watering on the drive home it smelled amazing. Good price and the flavor is so good. I got the party wings and fries. The buffalo is a slow build heat and the chicken is moist. The fries were so delicious. They were not seasoned with just salt and pepper. There was a little zestiness that brought it to a new level. My mom had the sweet potato casserole and green beans.
