China Hut — Restaurant in Lexington

Ordered from here several times. At times the order is wrong or leave something out. I’ve not had too many issues with the sesame chicken. Sometimes the egg rolls are spot on, other times, they have been sitting too long, and or burnt. The last two times I ordered takes the cake. We ordered rainbow seafood, the seafood was bad. It smelled like a dirty diaper/spoiled food. We contacted the establishment, in which bringing up the issue, the manager said “oh well it just be the shrimp” eluding to the fact that he knew it was bad, yet sold it anyways. Mentioned that it should be good because they freeze it. I’m not sure if they just don’t throw it out when it’s bad or date them properly. He said he would take our number and comp us the food. We called the today and wanted sesame chicken for both meals because it was typically good, and friend was scarred from the seafood item last time. When placing the order and explaining that we would like to do, they initially said they were cool with switching for the same thing, but later said they didn’t have any record of it. It was the straw that breaks the camels back. I can’t support or get behind a company that sells bad food, promise to make it right, and doesn’t keep their word when dealing with customers.

It's always a delight to discover that a beloved establishment has not only survived but thrived in a new location. The recent relocation of one of my favorite Chinese restaurants to Waller Avenue is cause for celebration. This is a place that understands the art of hospitality and the science of truly good food. For me, the ultimate test of a Chinese restaurant is its Hot & Sour soup, and this place makes some of the best I've ever had. It's a perfect balance of spicy and tangy, with a depth of flavor that's hard to find. But beyond the food, what truly sets this restaurant apart is its commitment to customer service. The staff is consistently fast and courteous, and they've gone above and beyond, even accommodating my order right at closing time. That level of dedication to their customers is something I genuinely appreciate and something you don't see everywhere. This new opportunity on Waller Avenue is well-deserved for these hard-working people. I hope you'll take the time to stop in, try the food, and see for yourself why this restaurant is a true gem. Horrible customer service.. So I order from this store every week .. every week I get the exact same thing. I am highly allergic to green peppers so I am very specific on this order obviously especially now that I am 7 mo pregnant with twins. They brought me my order with green peppers and Onions after I call they tell me they would happily replace my order two minutes later they call me and are trying to charge me for a delivery fee. The man was very rude and said I didn't order without vegetables. He argued with me and I will never go back there .. they could have sent me into a sever allergic reaction.. this was not proper and very unprofessional also they said I could not drive it up there due to me ordering online the first time.. they just wanted more money.. I would have drove it up there and the only reason I didn't go up there is because I work all day long and just wanted to eat a meal without having to go anywhere or cook.....
