Campus Pub — Restaurant in Lexington

Campus Pub never disappoints. It has a pool table, dart boards, "beer" pong, Golden Tee, multiple TVs w a variety of stuff-sports, CNN and FOX news, late night talk shows-and sometimes watch-parties of current awesome stuff (GoT anyone?) and occasional retro fan-hard faves (there was a few weeks w all the Star Wars going on, as an example). Spacious patio w umbrellas and stuff. The place is full of characters-behind and in front of the bar. "Campus Pub" here has come to mean less "go-to college bar" than a place one goes for good conversation with diverse ppl (ages, ethnecities, etc.) and occasional shenanigans for good ol' fun-the idea of a campus without all the trappings. Menu is standard American pub food-fills you, tasty, served late-nothing outstanding EXCEPT they pay attention---never a stray onion in a "no onions please" order. Drinks are hearty and well priced. There's a healthy selection of mid- , call- and top-liquors, and there is a fairly good selection of beers-can, bottle, and tap. Staff is on point-it's practically a ballet-meets-line-dance-with-a-side-of-electric-slide watching them work on a busy night.

The restrooms need some maintenance, but they're clean. Go to Campus Pub for a conversation w your friends, or alone. It's a tough world-chill out for a minute and toast the beautiful mess of people...and get the quesadilla. Or the skins...you will need it when ppl are bringing you shots and asking you to tell stories over...

A few weeks ago I went to the campus Pub for the first and last time not very busy at all I walked all the employees standing at the bar I had to wave to get their attention once I got their attention a waiter came over and asked me if I wanted something to eat I told him first I would like to see a menu didn't even ask if I wanted something to drink so he went and got me a menu bring it to me he asked me if I needed a minute to look at the menu I said yes so he comes back about 5 minutes ask me if I have decided what I wanted I said yes I would like to start out with the banana peppers bad choice then for my main entree I ordered a cheeseburger and fries another bad choice the worst food and I do repeat the worst that I ever put in my mouth oh yes he did ask me if I would like something to drink after he gave me my food my main entree that is a few minutes after he brings me my food I had to wave him down again to ask for my bill he gets my bill brings it to me takes my plates didn't even ask me if I wanted a togo box which I did not want one anyways hopefully he threw it in the trash that would been the best place for it it was not fit to eat none of it it was the worst food that I ever put in my mouth now that was my experience at the campus Pub...

A decent bar. they have ciders on tap which most bars don't & I really enjoy ciders because they taste good & because I dont want to drink beers which contain hops which have phytoestrogens toxins in them, & they taste awful. Also, all alcohol's that have any dark brownish color to them (like soy sauce) contain phytoestrogen toxins & are bad for you, especially males. Just a quick informative science tidbit; phytoestrogens are toxins produced by fungi & plants 2 make the animals that feed on them infertile by changing their sex or reproductive capabilities. Anyways, the bar is close to where I work; Wednesday nights they have half-off service industry night. I would rate it a 3-4 out of five stars; but it's not my type of scene; I'm more of a hipster/nerd/gamer type person & this bar is more preppy/College type. but still a decent bar very...
