If you want somewhere to listen to nice music, stare at pretty wallpaper, sit in an uncomfortable chair, and have a two and a half hour long conversation with your group, this is the place to do it, but if you’re looking for good service or un-burnt chicken this is not the place for you.
We had a reservation for a party of seven at 7pm and we did not leave the restaurant until 9:25pm. After being seated for 20 minutes, we placed an order for two appetizers and didn’t get them until 30 minutes later. Our waitress said the kitchen was backed up and apologized, so we placed our order for our food. We waited AT LEAST AN HOUR for our food. The waitress barely came by and when we asked what was going on all she could say was “it’s bad” and “they’re just really backed up in the kitchen.” At no point while we were waiting did a manager speak to us or apologize for the wait. No explanation was made and the waitress started going around and asking people if they wanted to wait, but the general manager CONTINUED TO SEAT PEOPLE. After 45 minutes, we asked how much longer and she said ten more minutes so we continued to wait. I understand we had a party of seven, but there were several other small groups that waited as long, if not longer. The food FINALLY came and most of it was fine, but one order had chicken and it was burnt to the point of smelling and it was actually revolting to eat. That meal alone was $30. The least we deserved was honesty. No one ever spoke to us about a time frame for how long the wait was, but they kept saying “just a little bit longer.” This place takes reservations and controlled how many people were being seated, yet they continued to sit people. Read moreI went it for birthday brunch with my family and friends, I had made reservations for 8 but I told the lady on the phone that I really wasn't sure how many people were coming and she that was okay that they're usually not busy on Sundays and if more people came that there would be several different areas to sit everyone. The server in taking the orders told me on the side that the food would be coming out at different times rather than waiting for everyone's food to be done which was perfectly fine. Martha Johnson, a black woman, came out asking who made the reservations and then proceeded to, in front of my family and friends, verbally reprimand about making reservations for 8 and having more than that and for me to make sure that no one else is coming, I in turn told her that she should have pulled me to the side and talked to me about whatever problem she had, there was absolutely NO reason for her to come to me and say anything about the number of people who were there, they came and paid to eat brunch just like everyone else in there. It was rude, disrespectful and unprofessional, you can best believe that we will let people know not to come here. I also reserved a room and didn't want to stay here after that but the check in girl, who also had a nasty attitude, said that I would still be charged even tho Martha Johnson, the manager caused me not wanting to stay, essentially I had to stay or I would lose my money. Read moreIf you think you would enjoy 2 and a half hours of stale conversation and meaningless platitudes, this is absolutely the place for you. My party of 7 with a reservation waited over an hour and half for our food. Our waitress tried with the same kitchen is slammed comment, but unfortunately it wasn't close to enough. Several tables around us canceled their orders and who could blame them. They kept telling us the kitchen was slammed, but spoiler alert this is a restaurant. You control the influx of orders especially on a night with almost only reservations. So please explain to me how you can stop taking new tickets in an effort to fix it. What about the people you sat not even 5 minutes ago? Do they not get to order? So sorry that we came on this awful night for them. This review is a result of that, but I believe an established restaurant should be better than this.
The general manager showed up almost 2 hours into this debacle, leaving our waitress to fend for herself for most of the meal. I feel bad for our waitress. We still tipped 20%, but she should've recommended us leave.
They did give us a 25% discount, but this was not enough.
Last thing: the food. The 8 dollar add-on chicken was inedible. It tasted and smelled so burnt. It was so baffling.
PS: I am writing this as I am waiting for my check which hasn't come in 10 minutes and has taken over 10 mins to be returned.
