Stopped to eat when driving through Lexington. First thought was that this place must not be very good because it was around 6:30 on a Friday night and only a few tables were occupied. We found a hair in the chips we were served and kindly asked for a new basket of chips. We ended up ordering the chicken fajitas (which consisted of mainly onions). We found ANOTHER hair in the sour cream on the fajita side plate. We asked for another side of sour cream. The waiter looked back and forth from my hair to the plate as if I put it in there! He didn’t even take the plate with the hair away and didn’t offer us a different side plate of the rice, beans, pico, etc. This server never even apologized for the hairs. He never even said anything except “ok” when we expressed our concerns. I am a server and would never treat my tables this way. I know some people will find anything and everything to complain about at a restaurant to get a discount or free food but this was not the case. We did not expect any discounts or anything to be free. All we wanted was an “I’m sorry” and no hair...
Read moreI've got mixed feelings on this place. I was in town for a couple of weeks and was excited by their taco Tuesday deals - $1.29 for a taco and $2.99 for a margarita. The tacos are real solid but on both occasions we went we had to have them change the check because they didn't apply the discount to any of the tacos. Apparently, many of their tacos aren't actually on special and you have to order at least two of each kind. While our waitress did tell us about the minimum quantity, she didn't mention that the special was only for a few of their tacos. Additionally, the first time we went, my girlfriend ordered a frozen margarita which also doesn't qualify for the Tuesday discount. I can't speak to the rest of their food, but I'd give a 4 + for the tacos (I had the cabeza, lengua, arranchera, fish and al pastor), a 4 for value if not quality on the margaritas - they were pretty light on the tequila and they use a mix, a 2 for the salsa they bring (it's free but tastes like pasta sauce), and a 2 for service which wasn't forthright about what was on special and...
Read moreTerrible experience. Not coming back EVER. I tell server I want garlic shrimp, she recommends 2 dishes. Then she talks about Shrimp cucaracha (which is shrimp roach: disgusting) I don't know what she is taking about. I asked her the price, she said $17. The server brings Shrimp in red sauce. I wanted garlic shrimp that is the reason I came here. I was very hungry so I ate it. She brings the ticket : it is more than $30. Cashier tells me I should have known. How? I don't come here. I feel deceived, I asked for the $17, dish, and she brought the $26 dish. Cashier had an opportunity to do something about it but chose to do nothing. I was charged $30 something for a bad dish of shrimp. Ok: $0.00 tip and I am not coming here in my life. The owner(s) lost a customer. Let's see who loses more. I don't give a zero star because the minimum is one. Terrible experience with cashier, server, and the food is not anything like they say. I can eat far better shrimp in any...
