Delight Donuts — Restaurant in Lexington

Simply the best! My hubby & I always end up leaving with a bigger box than we had planned to. Apple fritters done how they should be. If you want those, get there early, because they go fast. That applies to all their offerings though. This is the only donut shop where I get & love the cake donuts. Also the best maple frosting/icing I've found anywhere. Just the right amount of maple flavoring, not overdone. The croissants are fresh, perfectly flaky, & delicious plain or used for anything. The ham & cheese ones are wonderful, you can get them with or without jalapeno, & are a great hot breakfast choice on the go. There is also a decent selection of drink choices for such a small donut shop... Coffee, hot chocolate, milk, chocolate milk, variety of juices, etc. Very decent prices. The service is great. The husband & wife are always friendly, helpful, & courteous. It is a must stop & I promise you will not regret it!

Update... Still stand by this review & this business. It's a family run place & the owners are always so nice & friendly. We still stop by every chance we get. My favorite doughnuts...

So, it's with immense pleasure that I report Delight Donuts in Lexington, Nebraska, exceeded all expectations. From the first bite, it was clear this shop understands the art of donut making. What truly sets them apart is their generous fillings. Every bite of the Bavarian cream and apple fritters was bursting with deliciousness – a testament to their commitment to quality. The donuts themselves were simply delicious, and I'd happily return for more. Beyond the fantastic product, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the prices were reasonable. Delicious donuts (yeast and old fashioned. Many varieties.) Super flaky croissants, and other pastries! Only open in the mornings Tues - Sat. The lady who runs the front is very friendly and patient. The place looks a little odd from the outside, but it's a hidden gem. Stop by and try it, I'm sure you won't regret it. That said, avoid the bagels if you're a big fan (or from NY like myself lol) as they're a little disappointing. They sell bottled/canned beverages from soda coolers like a gas station and coffee of course. By far the best donuts I've found in a 100...
