We're staying the night at a hotel in Lexington and needed dinner. After checking out nearby food options, we settled on Runza, mostly due to the overwhelming positive reviews and plethora of options that work for our family. Sadly, our experience wasn't a positive one. đ„
As we've never been here, we had questions about some of the menu items. The young lady who helped us didn't have answers lol. Maybe she's new? đ€·đŒââïž But it would have been helpful if she could have asked someone else so we weren't just blindly ordering food. Anyway. We ordered a chicken strip kids meal, three ranch chicken jr wraps, and a buffalo chicken Bunza. The Bunza is AMAZING!!! đ€© I wish we'd all just ordered Bunzas. So soft and delicious!! đ€€ Unfortunately the chicken strips (which were in the majority of our food) were massively overcooked. Hard as rocks. My daughter was only able to eat about half of her chicken strips because parts were inedible. She also got the mandarin oranges with her kids meal, but wasn't given a fork or spoon. It wouldn't have been a big deal, because we dined in and could easily walk back up to get one, but there was a long line we had to stand in (for the second time) just to get a fork. Kinda annoying. Please remember to include all necessary utensils to avoid inconveniencing your customers. đ
The restaurant itself was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the service was unfriendly from beginning to end, but especially the end. We were just finishing up the last of our food when we realized they were closing. I looked at the time and it was 9:10. I said "Oh shoot! Are you closed?" And she said "Yep!!" As someone who worked similar jobs as a teenager, I understand how frustrating it is when customers stay too late, đ© so I sincerely apologized and we hurried to get our stuff to finish eating it outside on the curb. She didn't acknowledge my apology. As we walked out, I said "Thank you!!" She looked right at me and didn't say a word. Once we got outside, I realized the drive thru is open til 10pm. So it was only the lobby that was closed, and not like we were making them stay late or anything. The level of unkindness directed at us for unknowingly staying ten mins after closing was super unprofessional.
We will unlikely be back in Lexington Nebraska anytime soon, so I've got no skin in the game here, but I'd suggest that the manager work with this young lady on how to engage with customers. I don't expect her to shower me in kindness, but some customer service would've been nice.
Final verdict: the Bunzas are AMAZING! The chicken strips were awful. And the customer service needs work.
Edit: We visited the evening of...
Read more5 stars for Runza Family Medicine, the most unexpected doctorâs office in the universe! I walked in for a simple check-up and left with a prescription for âgood vibesâ and a certificate saying Iâm legally allowed to ride dolphins. Dr. Runza? Absolute legend. Rumor has it, he once cured a case of the hiccups just by staring at someone with intense, healing eye contact. The manâs skills are next-level.
The waiting room is like nothing youâve ever seenâthereâs a zen garden, a live mariachi band, and Iâm pretty sure I saw a parrot handing out patient forms. And the nurse? She offered me a cup of tea, a fortune cookie, and some life advice about achieving inner peace while checking my blood pressure. The vibe here is more âadventure camp for wizardsâ than âdoctorâs office,â and honestly, Iâm all about it.
When it was time for my X-ray, they gave me a pair of sunglasses and told me I might see the future. I didnât, but I did leave with a mysterious coupon for half off a dragon saddle (valid only in parallel dimensions). And the diagnosis? âYouâre too awesome, but weâll monitor it.â Dr. Runzaâs office is less about curing what ails you and more about making you question realityâin the best way possible.
5/5 starsâif youâre looking for a doctorâs visit that feels like a mix between a health check and a magical quest, Dr. Runzaâs is the place to be. I canât wait for my next appointment. I think theyâre offering free...
Read moreThe best if you love fast food but get that full feeling and don't like that full feeling I promise this place is for you. Everything is homemade and the bread is the softest I ever felt on a burger. Many selections of food. It's so fresh I thought I had a sausage mc muffin type but realized duh the food isn't processed like McDonald's. The bread is like touching a cloud. The fries are fresh they even have frings fries mixed w onion rings. The employees are extremely polite and regular not rehearsed if you get me. It's very professional for the staff to be extremely young. They even come from behind the counter to bring you your food in your hands. Burger king used to be my favorite but could never. I personally will miss this place. I hope they take over the map bc it is more than worth...
