so, I work within walking distance of this place. Its been there the 12 years I have worked near by and it used to be a nice place, little too expensive but nice. but over the years it had slid way downhill. Today my experience was rough enough I felt it warranted comment. First the elderly gentlemen in front of me ordered a coffee, he walked away and immediately brought it back saying it was cold, to which the employee said "sorry, we stop making coffee at 11 (it was 12:20) and I cant warm it back up for you"...so why sell it, why not dump it out and let people know your out? that man asked for a refund. I ordered, got a burger and fries (small combo) that was $13, steep but whatever. when I got it the burger was not warm, and dry, cheese unmeted, as I ate it I noticed the gal in the back, they aren't even using the grill, she just had a room temp tray of patties next to her she was assembling the food from, that when I noticed, there is no noise, the kitchen is quiet, no sizzling, no food smells, I have no evidence those patties aren't just being microwaved. While I ate my expensive room temp burger a man showed up and ordered $37 worth of chicken nuggets and fries (for a work crew), and immediately argued what they gave him was cold, after some back and forth where the employee demonstrated the wonder of heat lamps he comped him a cookie and the dude left. Place was dead, didnt feel clean and the food is ridiculously priced for the quality of what you get. I can literally walk next door to the grocery store deli (Yokes) and they will grill a fresh burger in front of me, with a generous side for $8, Pita Pit on the other side is about the same cost but fresh and faster and clean. In short I dont know how long Carls has left before this one closes its doors given the stiff competition around it, but I know I wont be back and look forward to what comes next to that building once it...
Read moreWe came in yesterday morning to grab some breakfast why in town. Ordered, got breakfast meal (double breakfast burger) biscuits and gravy and a monster biscuit. Gentle man brings over coffee I fallow him back up to get cream. Guy in kitchen says no cream. I said well that would have been handy to know when I ordered coffee cuz now I have nothing to drink. Food comes out I ask for jelly told again we don't have any. so now I don't have a breakfast sandwich either. Open up Burger it's a single not a double. Go to eat biscuits and gravy they put it in the little black to-go container they usually put the gravy in when you order it togo. so it's a dry biscuit with like no gravy. So now I have no coffee, no sandwich and no biscuit and gravy. He did remake the double. So at least my husband got to eat. There was literally nobody else in the store and we were ordered number 6 so it's not like it had been busy. Just really bad customer...
Read moreVisited the Liberty Lake store on Sunday the 22nd. Got in the drive thru behind one truck and had two pull in right behind me. Ordered chicken tender combo. Sorry, we are out of tenders. Didn't really want a burger but I was blocked in. Ordered a western bacon BBQ cheeseburger. Sorry, no onion rings to go on the burger, do you still want it. Reluctantly', yes. Cut off before I could add fries. Got to the window to tried to see if they had fries made. No fries at all in the building and only two employees working. Resupply truck due sometime Monday. Why keep the place open with no fries, no onion rings, no chicken tenders and only two employees. Very frustrating locked in a drive thru, blocked in and ordering off a very limited menu. Very frustrating for two young employees trying to do it all. Time to have a hard discussion with whomever orders your food or controls your...
