Just went there, was excited to try it with my girlfriend. Didnt even make it past ordering drinks.
DO NOT RECOMMEND BASED ON SERVICE
We sat down and was greeted kindly by who we assume was the manager. We will come back to him in a moment.
When we ordered drinks, the waiter asked for our I.D.'s, totally understand that even though I clearly look old 😅 but we respect the law, what we dont respect is him telling us that we need to give them to him. Pause, we go out to eat, a lot, especially Sushi and spend a bit of money for the experience. With that said, we were shocked that he said that it's the law and must take them! I showed him my DOB but was not giving him my I.D. as that is not the law. And to our surprise, he walked away asked his manager which this is a small (very small setting), the manager said they just need to show them, and to just look at them, yet he walked to the back and didn't service us, nor the manager.
Here is what you lost out on: 4 cocktails 1 app 2 cups of soup 4 rolls
With these prices (compared to other sushi establishments) they are higher on about everything, our tab would have been significant plus tips.
The suprising part, was when I pulled my ID out, my veterans disability card fell out on the table as well.
Read your audience, be customer centric, and learn the law as I confirmed, that is not the law.
Btw, the manager said so sorry and let us walk out the door.
Money lost and future business as well.
Do not pay for overpriced poor customer...
Read moreI don't know the circumstances that led to the closure of the previous sushi place at this location, Ding How, but I can tell you that the current place is just as good, if not better. Is it the same? No. If anything, Sushi House has way more non-sushi options, such as grilled (hibachi) options and more noodle options. I've had their Pad Thai, which was good. I also thought their bento options were a great value because of all the side dishes (pot stickers, soup, etc.) that come with it, so you can get a variety of dishes without having to order a bunch of starters (appetizers) plus huge main dishes. I love their bento options!
BTW, when we first moved to the area last year, a couple family members raved about how good Ding How was, but I remember thinking it was just like most other sushi/teriyaki places. To me, there wasn't much difference, which is why I probably like the current place just as much...
Read moreWas in the mood for sushi.. But was disappointed. Here was the order. And I spent the money for it because I was hungry and just me. Tuna Party roll, yellow tail roll and Miso Ramen. Before I begin I read other reviews before writing mine and I did experienced their similar statements like this one. To much rice overwhelming the sushi experience. Yellowtail roll. No flavor. Tried to pick out yellowtail but not enough fish. Tuna party. I cant really say it was flavorless but a flavor that didn't match Tuna which I was expecting. And the Misu Ramen soup. How can anyone get that one wrong. On this,,,, no flavor at all. I had to dump soy sauce in it to get something. And the pork they say in it. Tasted like and textured like boiled meat. And one not recognizable. Sorry. I wish...
