Schaffner's Drive In — Restaurant in Liberty Township

Update: I used to love coming here. I have been coming here for decades, but I've seen a steady decline ever since Ed and Shirley let the kids take over. The food prices have always been a little steep for the quality, but since the new building went up, the prices went way up, and the quality went down along with the service. It's small town Baltimore, not downtown Columbus. The prices should reflect that. I've noticed the past few times I've ordered a milkshake, there's a noticable difference in the amount of flavoring in it, particularly the peanut butter or mint chocolate chip shakes. I said something about how there was a lack of peanut butter in the previous shake I ordered, and instead of just adding more to make up for it, they charged me for it. They also charge $1.50 for a pup cup when almost everyone else gives one out for free. I won't even bother ordering actual food anymore. It wasn't really worth the price a decade ago, and it's definitely not worth it now, especially when the last time I ordered a hotdog it came on a piece of bread instead of in a hot dog bun. If you're going to charge over $4 for a hot dog, make it so the customer doesn't feel like they are getting screwed while they eat it. I know businesses are around to make money, but come on!

Whats funny is that you can display a gay flag and show support for two men or two women but you can't have a sign for a man and a woman which is how the degenerates came to exist in the first place??? Took my wife and son here for the first time today. We were all really looking forward to it as we hoped it could be our go to ice cream place but unfortunately it failed to hit that mark. I will say the building itself is very nice and modern feeling no complaints there but the young lady taking our order acted very annoyed to even be taking our order and had bad mannerisms to go along with it. I honestly wasn’t that bothered by her being like that though at first because I just figured she was like most teenagers now days very disconnected from reality. The ice cream is where I took real issues my son and I both ordered milk shakes and it was super milky tasted like it had no ice cream in it I could literally hear the milk splashing in my cup when I would shake it to the point I just threw it away and we left. It’s possible that we just got a couple bad shakes I’m not writing the place off completely but I will say first impressions do last forever and I will not be going out of my way any time soon...
