Wow! We had spent the day hunting fossils (yes you can do that in Indiana!) and hiking near Brookville Lake and we were very hungry for a late lunch. A friend recommended J's to us and I'm happy we got there hungry! I had fried chicken with the "Jo Jo" potato wedges and both were fried to absolute perfection. The chicken is fried in a pressure cooker (the real Colonel Sanders did it the same way) and you have to wait for it since they make it fresh... but it is worth every minute of waiting! The skin is perfectly crispy with a nice light breading (not over-breaded!) and the seasoning is great. The meat on the inside is incredibly juicy and tender from being cooked fresh in the pressure cooker. The potato wedges were also fried perfectly and had an amazing seasoning. My wife had chicken fingers and mozarella cheese sticks and loved both of them. Incidentally, these cheese sticks clearly did *not* come out of a freezer bag! I got to trade some of my Jo Jos for one and it was delicious. Even my 5 year old got into the act and really enjoyed some fries and ice cream. Oh did I mention the ice cream? It's a very nice soft serve with normal and seasonal flavors (pumpkin is on the menu for fall) and they do sherbet too. They also make an awesome Sundae! I only mentioned a small slice of what they have on the menu but I can't recommend this place enough if you are in the area!

I used to like J's Dairy Inn when they had a location in Richmond. I loved their food and the Jojo Fries, which are French Fries with the skins on them. They also catered the Christmas dinner every year when I worked at Sears many years ago. Unfortunately, they closed, and the only J's open now is the location in Liberty. I have longed for it for a long time, but just never got around to going there. I was on my way to a show, so I stopped there to eat. I ordered the White Meal, along with JoJo Fries, Coleslaw, a Roll, and a Coke Zero. Usually you have to wait 20 minutes for a meal, but my wait was about 20-25 minutes. It was well worth the wait. They want to make sure your meal is just right. My meal was absolutely delicious, just like I remember it years ago. The chicken was one of the best, and the JoJo Fries are out of this world. They also serve dairy treats, like ice cream, which I didn't order. I was too full! One thing I don't understand is why they charge you a fee if you pay for your meal with a credit card. I remember that at the Richmond location. If someone can answer that question, I greatly appreciate it, because they are the only place I know of that does that. My meal was absolutely the best, and when I am in the area again, I will be back.

J's is awesome. Prices are extremely affordable, food is cooked fresh when you order and tastes amazing with generous portions and TONS of options. Employees are always friendly and do a great job. Kids meals come in a cool car box, have main food, side, drink and an ice cream cone. Bargain! For those who complain about price...seriously?! It's one of, if not the most affordable places my family eats at. Those that complain it takes too long and service is slow... it's a small restaurant with small staff and usually huge amount of customers. You want your food cooked fresh it is sometimes going to take a while but it's worth the wait. Those who say Employees are unfriendly... I've eaten there a ton of times and everyone has always been friendly. From the owner Brian to the managers to the Employees, all have always been kind. My family loves eating at J's, it's my kids favorite place to eat. Liberty is lucky to have this little gem. I recommend the Chicken, hot breaded chicken sandwich, cheeseburger, jojo's and banana split...YUMMY!

J's is usually a decent place to grab lunch. The food is okay and the place is relatively clean with the exception of dirty napkins holding the wobbly tables upright. The service is the problem. Apparently the adult woman working the counter is too stressed to remember customer service is part of her job. We traveled to J's not for their outstanding food and atmosphere but so my four year old could have lunch in a car box. Instead of the usual classic car his meal came in a cow/horse box. I asked my 12 year old son to see if we could have a car box instead. This adult woman told my son he needed to buy the box, he explained we purchased a kids meal already and she said too bad that's what we are giving out today. I witnessed the rude way she was speaking to my son and witnessed the teenage employees folding car boxes at the same time showing me they were not out of car boxes. I went to the counter with the cow/horse box and asked to please exchange it for a car. This adult woman threw the car box across the counter at me, I was shocked to say the least and thanked her for being so friendly. The food is not that delicious to tolerate such rude behavior from an employee. If you are traveling through Liberty keep in mind you can travel a short distance further either to Oxford, Ohio or Brookville, Indiana for better food, employees that treat customers with respect all for about...

I have eat at J's Dairy Inn for as long as I can remember and have always loved their food. Tonight 10/04/2021 at around 6:45 PM I picked up an order I had called in and drove back home to Connersville where I live. When I opened our bucket of chicken it was missing the 24 extra Jo Jo's we had ordered. I called them to let them know and spoke to the person on the phone and advised of our shortage and he indicated that I had no proof that I was missing 24 Jo Jo's. I asked to speak to a manager and was told the same thing. I asked if there was an owner there to speak to. I was given to another lady who said she was the owners wife. After speaking to this lady she said that if it was in a large bucket it would have had the extra Jo Jo's. I confirmed that the extra Jo Jo's were not in the bucket and she said the person that put the order together said that they were. I asked if she was calling me a liar and she did not respond. I told her that I would never be back and her comment was. Would you like me to issue you a credit .... but if your never coming back that would be a mute point. I have never been treated so disrespectful at a business in my entire life! What I would like to know is what ever happened to the customer always being right. I don't believe I have ever been called a liar before by a restaurant owner. Going forward I will give my chicken business to...
