My Little Kitchen Restaurant — Restaurant in Liberty

Seems to be a place where locals go and enjoy! I asked for grilled fish and shrimp with zucchini and squash as an alternative to fries and hushppies for my mom, as I wanted a healthier option! I paid for the menu option, 5 pieces grilled fish, a fried crab and veggies. No worries, I get food is expensive! I was absolutely embarrassed as I was handing my mom the to go food, already thinking she'd have supper too..but instead what we saw when I asked her to open it was literally 5 fish sticks! I paid $27.00 for this lunch....got ignored by the toothless waitress for 20 minutes... she must have been messed up, not sure but the sweet couple in front of me got rang up for $2,700, for two hamburgers and fries. I stood there for another fifteen minutes while she got that straight and there was another gentleman that came up after I'd been standing there, he said, i'm going to apologize for all of this because I know they/she won't. Then, she questioned if I paid for the meal and demanded a receipt. I was literally pissed at this point, I never want to leave an ugly review..... But what the guy standing at the register told me he was apologizing for them.....enough said. He literally even made a joke that he aged ten years, waiting for them to ring him up, it seemed to be a big laughing matter for the toothless waitress. A huge disappointment, and I absolutely will not...

Unfortunately, this place has gone down hill. We went today, 4 adults and 1 child. When we arrived there was only one other table there, and were already receiving their food when we arrived. However, once we ordered, we still had to wait about 45-50 minutes for our food to come out, meanwhile people that came in after us were receiving their food. Then, when our food came out, the chicken fried chicken that was ordered at the table couldn't even be eaten because it had raw batter, and the chicken itself was cold. The waitress never came back to check on us, so different occasions we had to get up ourselves to get items that were needed at the table. Once we checked out, the waitress asked how everything was, when I explained that the chicken was cold and the batter was still raw, she laughed. I told her I was serious and it was still on the table. I asked her to remove it from the ticket since it was unable to be eaten, again she laughed and said she couldn't do that. I asked to speak with a manager and she said there wasn't one. So we paid for our food, even the items we didn't eat, but unfortunately this visit was enough to...

We were there around 230.. the salad bar was VERY basic with 5 items.. cucumbers. Tomatoes red onion. Lettuce and cheese. There was crackers..I had the chicken stripe m.p and Texas toast.. it was very basic as well with a very thin batter. The chicken was hot. The gravy and mashed.. barely warmed. He had the hamburger steak. Which i did not care for and would never order..I Also would not get those chicken tenders again. They looked like the came frozen. But she says no.. they battered them in house? On his plate there were fried zu coins that were very hot and fried fresh . the waitress was very sweet and attentive. I agree with others about it being dated.. but it was a very decent meal for the price and o would make sure to ask them to warm my gravy next time..I hate to select the 10 -20$ because it was barely over.. we only had water and the ticket was around 25 with tax.
