They opened on April 5, 2025, and you can tell they’re really trying to make a good impression. It’s tucked away inside a strip mall and honestly seems like it could use a bit more foot traffic. So if you’re in the area, do them a favor and come by on purpose—they deserve some love. Bit of a quirky first impression with the covers on the chairs—felt a little out of place—but honestly, that’s easy to look past once the food comes out. We tried the salty smash fries and the melty smash burger—both were really solid. Great flavors, super satisfying. You can tell they care about what they’re putting out. The staff here are genuinely friendly and welcoming. This spot used to be a pizza place, and you can tell they’ve reused a lot of the original decor. It’s nothing fancy inside—some scratches on the walls, a bit plain—but it’s clean and comfortable enough. Definitely not a dealbreaker. Overall, the food is genuinely good, the service is great, and the people behind it all seem to be giving it their best. The vibe is simple, but it’s the kind of place worth supporting.

Fantastic pAbsolutely phenomenal smash burger joint — easily a 5-star experience across the board. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection every time. What really stands out is the meat — rich, savory, and not overly salty, just right. Plus the meat is halal, in case you are Muslim. The cheese melts like a dream and adds a perfect creamy balance to each bite. Every burger feels handcrafted with care, not just thrown together. The fries? Crisp, golden, and addictive — not a soggy one in sight. Even the buns are top-notch: soft, lightly toasted, and hold everything together beautifully. Service is fast, friendly, and genuinely welcoming — you can tell they love what they do. The staff checks in just enough to make sure you're happy without hovering. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cool, laid-back vibe. Great music, clean space, and just the right amount of buzz. If you love burgers, this place is a must — I’ll definitely be back.

Was excited to try a new smash burger in the area and overall it is likely a one and done. Food quality is good. Burger was well cooked and seasoned. The fries were crispy but average and nothing special. Definitely not hand cut or anything that would set them apart. They share a parking lot with McDonald’s and their fries are comparable. Shake was decent but also not a game changer. They do have coke products which is a plus. Not sure I would come back just for the burger though. The ambiance is definitely lacking. Order from kiosk. Self serve drinks. No interaction with employees until they come out to call your name and then quickly head to the back. Sticky floors and tables inside but thankfully there was seating outside as well. There is some potential here.

It's pretty obvious that much of a five-star reviews are from family and friends on opening day and not representative of the actual dining experience. The dining experience was poor given the cleanliness of the space. There was garbage all over the ground, even fingerprint ketchup stains on the ketchup bottle... The tables and chairs are clearly outdated, the first table I sat on near the window had uneven feet and rocks back and forth, makes you question how much effort is being put into the restaurant given it just opened not even one month ago. If you think I'm being too critical, I invite you to just go in there and take a look around.

The burgers came out fresh and were hot however they were nothing special. I would say all the burgers are one to two dollars overpriced. Also the fries were straight cold lol. No one even bothered to microwave them.

A place like this can only exist in libertyville, given that there is literally no other halal Burger competition.

Whole establishment feels like a low effort cash grab, once again capitalizing on the lack of halal burger restaurants in the area.

I only mean this as constructive criticism, honestly really want this...

If you’re anywhere near the McDonald’s and don’t make your way to Meat N Melt, you’re seriously doing your taste buds a disservice.

This local gem serves up phenomenal smash burgers that are crisped to perfection on the edges and dripping with juicy, flavorful goodness in the middle. Each bite feels like the burger gods themselves gave it a sear. Whether you go classic or deck it out with wild toppings, there’s not a bad choice on the menu.

And don’t even get me started on the fries—world class is no exaggeration. Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, they’re the kind of fries that make you pause mid-bite and say, “Wow.” You’ll be thinking about them long after you’ve finished your meal.

But what really seals the deal is the service—genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. It’s the kind of place where they remember your order, your name, and make you feel like you’re part of something special.

In a world of drive-thru disappointments, Meat N Melt is a one-of-a-kind experience. Skip the golden arches next door—this is where the real...
