This place has always been a good spot to go grab a bite while the kids play at the park but recently, I went and the playground was closed so we went to grab a bite. The kids were so excited in the park and I told them to explore the bus while we waited for our food. I saw my nephew running around who's 6, and told his older sister to go get him, when all of a sudden there's an older gentleman who storms all mad towards him , literally snatches him in the air while he was sitting in the seat looking out the window towards my two year old trying to grab his attention Being playful. He comes over politely and says he's avoiding him getting stitches. I of course apologized because I don't think it was right for my nephew to run around in an establishment. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how inappropriate it was, the way the older guy who looked like a manager acted. My nephew was sitting down in that moment, he didn't need to grab him the way he did. He could of came up to me to ask me to grab him since I did give them permission to be there, I even looked at the employees while all this was going down, and they put their faces down once they saw what he was doing. If it wasn't allowed, they should of spoke up. Body language was aggressive. I don't think it was right what occurred seeing as they are in a family oriented location, and its not the first child to do this. Didnt sit well with me , so be warned, they should have more patience with children avoid Putting their hands on any child. I won't be going again, and have already let my family and friends know. For some cheap food and high cost , wasn’t worth the experience. Posted picture of guy
Response: Don’t you think it would be appropriate to confirm the details of when the incident occurred before you come here and tell me no such thing happened. My thirteen old, and 6 year involved both confirmed what my eyes saw. It’s sad you came to try to dispute what I know for a fact happened before letting me know I could reach. Anything to save face cause he did in fact put his hands on the child, physically lifted him and put him on the floor of the bus. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreMy only experience with Agavero Cantina has been at their Westside location in Blandtown, which I’ve always enjoyed. So much so that on a recent trip to Lilburn, I made point to stop in when I saw they had a location. What I wasn’t prepared for was their unique Parkside location which isn’t a full service restaurant. Agavero has setup shop in a small building next to rue city park in Old Lilburn where they’ve parked an old double decker red bus which shelters the main seating area from the park lot. The bus also serves as storage, an elevated seating area, and an anchor for a tent and temporary walled enclosure for “indoor” dining. And in this jerry-rigged setup the serve a modified menu of chips and dips and tacos and salads and burritos. I had coming hoping for larger entrees only to discover that things like Carne Asada, Fajitas, and Pollo Adobo weren’t on the menu. So we made due. And while it was what we were after, we enjoyed our meal. The service was also great. The staff provided table service for us since they weren’t super busy, and we enjoyed our meal. To can see how sitting here near the park, especially on a nice day, offer a fun and local experience. If you just want drinks and snacks, this is a totally enjoyable place to take a break. If you’re looking for a sit down restaurant with full service and more menu options, try their...
Read moreFood and service is always good however I do not like having the wool pulled over my eyes at check out time. Hidden in the small print with the expected “standard parties of 5 or more will be charged X percent tip” is additional text that “all bills over $60 regardless of the number of people will be charged %18” which is not a standard practice, never seen before, nor would I expect it.
I do expect to be able to trust the establishments I choose to do business with and not be “hoodwinked”. I most certainly will not be returning.
Server received my standard 30-40 percent tip in total bill along with an additional 18% the restaurant added which was not in the tip area of the bill. It was buried in the item purchased area as if it were a food or beverage item.. Of course they didn’t mention this when they brought the check either and I will never dine at a place where I am forced to audit a dinner bill because of a lack of trust.
I simply looked at Total and added %40. Never again. If you are not telling people that something out of the ordinary and not a common business practice is happening; then you are blatantly trying to cheat...
