The Bubbly Goat — Restaurant in Lilburn

To start on a positive note the cheese charcuterie was great. Said it fed 2 to 3 but 5 or 6 could have enjoyed it. also the guys behind the counter were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately that was it. We ordered the chardonnay (something from Washington) and it tasted like the vintage was old. Wine bars should know good wine. We went outside and were quickly sent back inside by yellow jackets and flies. Kinda understandable this time of year (but went to another restaurant nearby for dinner and were advised by hostess the bugs were a problem) but many patrons started outside and came in. Also promoting yourself as a wine bar and only having 10 total wines btg is a stretch. My biggest concern was that I had to order at the counter for everything. I would have had 1 or 2 more glasses of wine (or beer) if someone came to my table and took an order. I don't feel like getting up to get another glass of wine after a hard day's work. I go out to be waited on. I really want this place to succeed as we have so little in the area, and I will try again, but if it doesn't change I probably...

Let me start by saying my wine was delicious and the girl taking my order was super sweet and friendly. I came here hoping to find a corner to have a glass of wine and finish up a paper (checked the website to make sure no super loud events were going on) and was enjoying my time until I think possibly the owner hosted a party that in my opinion, should’ve been private. My background noise went from lively conversation to full on screaming as kids ran around, and no one came to check on me as the owner (?) enjoyed a meal with her family (?). I truly hate to be a buzzkill and maybe I should’ve had different expectations of this establishment but instead of ordering another glass I felt the need to run out of there, like I was interrupting . I hope to give this place another chance soon as we don’t have a lot of places like this in Lilburn, and again was very excited to check it out .
