Fish Fry — Restaurant in Lillington

Overall, this restaurant was mostly great, but I have a few slight problems that I need to address since my mother took me here to have dinner this afternoon. First off, I found out that the men's bathroom was not clean enough. The toilet was clogged up with too much toilet paper and feces. There was no hand soap to clean hands with or paper towels available to dry hands with. I found it very uncomfortable, unsanitary and disgusting for people to use. Second of all when the Male server brought the appetizers to our table, he wrongfully handed me the jalapeno poppers to me instead of of handing them to my mother, so we had to correct him on that which caused my mother to take the same poppers from me. I don't eat jalapeno poppers because I'm not much of a spicy person lol. Thirdly, the jalapeno poppers were not as spicy or cheesy enough according to my mother's taste buds. Also, there were not enough natural seafood seasoning on the shrimp to make it taste like home cooked shrimp. Next time, I hope the cooks can try add a little more seafood seasoning to...

So I pass this lil Seafood joint on the way home every weekday and I have never stopped in to check it out. Now the place is not eye candy but the owner of this place can most definitely cook some fish. I order the large croaker plate and I can assure you that is exactly what it was. Two decent size croakers cooked whole. I am not a fan of eating bony fish but this was mot definitely a pleasant surprise. He threw in a filet of whiting's for me to try as well which was absolutely delicious. The staff was very pleasant to deal with and answered questions that I presented in an effort to satisfy my taste palate. Now the one negative had to be the coleslaw, it needed a lil something more and the fries could've been a lil more crispier with a lil seasoning. I absolutely would not leave a star if i didn't have to in order to review. Horrible service and management. If your establishment is posted to close at 9pm and when i pull up get out of my car at 8:25pm your sitting outside with your little friends chatting on the ground smoking and you hop up and turn the sign to closed. This folks is absolutely a slap in the face. On top of not acknowledging me nor just telling me your closed.
