I’m leaving four stars because it normally would be be 5, due to the service being lovely most the time, and I don’t want to throw a small beloved business under the bus, but I’m leaving a review and only four stars to express my disappointment. I never pay for my alternative milk when used as a creamer. Plus their prices must have gone up. I would have got a latte for about maybe less than a dollar more with what they charged me for a splash of oat milk. The young girl there was nice but wouldn’t work with me and simply said she would talk to the business about it. Fair. But I still paid a ridiculous amount for an americano. I am not charged at any of the other surrounding businesses for a splash in my coffee or americano. It really sucks as someone lactose intolerant to pay 75 cents (yes 75 cents) for a splash. I am surprised she couldn’t bend and take it off for the small amount used to add creamer. Had it been normal milk, I would not have been charged. When I asked why and if maybe I could just not add the oat milk then, she has already made it and asked if i wanted her to make a new one… which truly made no sense because then she’d be out coffee and oat milk, leading me back to the moot point of charging for a splash of alternative milk. I am allergic to soy and lactose so, tough world for us I guess. I found that a bit odd and wondered if she was just nicely joking with me. Anyways. I don’t know when I’ll be back, and I was a loyal customer I just don’t like how that went down with what I thought was a reasonable question. I’ve had places in the past charge 40 cents and I ask why and they’re like “oh sorry you’re right let me remove it”.even that is more reasonable than 75 cents tho. Shoot, 2.5 cups of milk for a large verses a splash...
Read moreHey y’all, it’s almost time for Easter— praise the Lord! I’ve been setting up themed decor around my mother in law’s home, which is absolutely gorgeous. Anywho, I stumbled upon this quaint dessert shop: Beans and Cream while I was out looking for Easter brunch utensils. So when I approached the building, I attempted to open the door but stumbled backward when I realized there was a sign that said ‘use window’. The employee gestured to the window so I moved over. Oops! Bless her heart. I scanned over the menu and settled on a mocha latte with a side of vanilla ice cream. It was sooo good y’all, I stopped to snap a pic in front of the green wall and was very pleased with the result. Anyway, this is where things get strange. As I’m returning to my car, I see a woman enter the Beans and Cream. A worker opens the door for her and refers to her as “Tonya”, who I’m assuming is the manager. Tonya yelled at the younger employee and told her to interact with the customers and stop drinking water, though there was no one at the window. Then, she locked eyes with me and appeared to bare her teeth at me or something while trying to lure me over with her finger but I had already ordered!! I clutched my purse and ran to my car, spilling my latte all over my new shirt in the process. Luckily I wasn’t harmed, but I’m still shaken from this. I hope Tonya learns to lower the stress level of her environment. (P.S. I would like dry cleaning expenses paid which was $62. Ha ha—...
Read moreStopped by a little place today called Beans & Cream! It was a cute building with a variety of coffees/flavors, as well as several ice cream options. I opted for an Irish White Mocha Frappe, and my husband went for a "one scoop" waffle cone of chocolate chip cookie dough. The frappe was definitely sweet but tasty! I'm usually a Starbucks girl, so it wasn't quite what I'm used to, still a nice treat. They serve Hershey's ice cream, so you know what to expect there, and the waffle cone was the nice crispy wrap kind, not the flaky standard cone. Several kids came running up with parents close behind excited for the "ice cream shop with the benches made out of car parts" 😂 It was a nice...
