Axe Bar — Restaurant in Lincoln

We had made reservations to visit the Axe bar when one of our family members who is in the service was in town. Upon arrival we were told that our reservations were not valid due to a “systems error”.

Very poor reservation system. At least call and leave a voicemail if there was a computer glitch in the system. It seems a bit obvious that a drink token is only an attempt to get us to spend money elsewhere (food, racing, etc). The night was a complete waste of time due to poorly managed IT system - also don’t try to blame the customer about changing something in the reservation that caused the glitch.

Hadn’t been back to R1 in a year due to the perceived poorly managed facility and it’s obvious our previous perception was correct.

Bottom line: they need fix the basics, pay the extra money for a better reservation system. It seriously can’t be that much more expensive, and when the simple things can’t be mastered it worries you about the more complex, dangerous ones...

Had an awesome time at the axe bar! The instructors who showed us how to throw were super helpful, patient, and made it fun for everyone — even the first-timers in our group. Their energy and guidance really added to the experience, especially since we had a big party.

The atmosphere was great, and it was a unique and memorable outing overall. Only minor hiccup was one server who came off a little rude — but honestly, with a big crowd like ours, I get that things can get hectic. Could’ve just been a rough shift.

Still, it didn’t take away from the fun. Would definitely go back and recommend it to anyone looking for something different and...

This place is a lot of fun. I have been a couple of times now, each time I've gone I have had a different staff member. Go through the instructions and how to throw axes. They really set the tone for how your night is going to go. Overall I would say I have not had a bad experience there and I love how all the different activities are can easily connected so that you can kind of run around like a big kid. The only reason why I'm getting it four stars is because they only have one option for food and it's very hit or miss. Incredibly overpriced but that's it. So, I would say definitely fill up on snacks...
