KFC — Restaurant in Lincoln

I am one who normally will give a good review but lately this place has sucked a**, team members aren't friendly, management is just as worthless. I have worked in fast food, your jobs are not hard. Walking around with ear buds in, front register person rapping while walking through the lobby with a ton of guests in there. Mind you my husband and I waited 10 mins to be helped and get our drink cups, nothing was stocked, and the lobby was nasty, no tables were clean, in one section of the lobby had drinks spilled, trash everywhere. Trash cans were so full and wasn't taken care of until the team member was ready to deal with it. Bathrooms looked they havent been touched until this morning. We went in thinking we would have a better experience since everytime we hit drive thru they miss half of order. Tonight really pissed me off with team members yelling at each other, nobody smiled, you could tell they hated their job. The worst part was an elderly man let an employee know their soda didn't taste right like it was switched from Pepsi to cherry pepsi. That worker told this man they were told that earlier and it was handled so she doesn't know what to tell him. Your jobs are not flipping hard, maybe frustrating when customers come in all at once but never make a customer feel like some of us...

The food at this location is perfectly satisfactory and a few of the employees are regularly very cordial, accommodating and helpful. I completed an online survey which this store promoted and the administering Burke, Inc. promptly sent me a nice plastic KFC gift card which I attempted to use on my next visit. It didn't require any validation and no instructions were given to do so. However, after around ten minutes at the pickup window with two employees (including one that was presumably a manager), they couldn't figure out how to honor a KFC gift card and I ended up paying full price for the meal and feeling like I had attempted to defraud them with their own gift card. I sent the card back to Burke, Inc. to inform them of the issue since the card appeared to be worthless. It's not a big deal, but the three KFC locations in Lincoln, NE aren't very convenient and Popeye's Chicken (also with limited locations) offers a similar enough menu with good service in my experience (even though it may be higher priced overall) that now leads me to them as my only local choice for chain-based fast food chicken. They also appear to be able to administer surveys...

This is the second time I've come to this establishment, and the second time I've left dissatisfied. To begin, the professionalism of the staff here is subpar. I dont understand why anyone would hire these workers. It seems like the attention to detail spent on the food prepared is almost non-existent. From chicken with very little and unevenly distributed sauce to the over cooked and misshapen cookies, everything is below average compared to literally every other kfc I have been to. It also appears that the cashiers do not know how to honor current promotions and overcharged me for my food. This time I went through the drive through because I wasn't about to brave yet again the dark and dirty interior, but they forgot to give me forks. I'm not sure if I expect too much, but I've known 4 year olds who better understand how to put a few items in a bag. If you want my honest opinion, find another kfc or go...
