Scoops at 2840 S 70th is a great place to go -- BUT -- I'm sorry, the square ice cream scoops are cute and all for a bowl of ice cream, but WHAT IGNORANT DUMMY THINKS THAT YOU CAN PUT A SQUARE SCOOP OF ICE CREAM INTO A WAFFLE CONE OR A SUGAR CONE WITHOUT THE CONE FALLING APART???? ALL YOU GET IS ALLLL ICE CREAM CONE AND NO ICE CREAM, which is why the owner is conning everyone and deceiving everyone with those cutesy artsy square scoops❗️ Your buying a stupid square scoop and he is cheating you on the amount of ice cream by not providing FULL ROUND SCOOPS for the ice cream cones❗️❗️❗️Scoops needs to give the CUSTOMER A CHOICE of a normal round scoop of ice cream on their cones or an obnoxious cone wrecking square scoop which totally destroys the entire ice cream cone experience❗️❗️❗️ It is one thing to give the kids a cool square scoop of ice cream IN A BOWL, but me being a midwest European guy, I eat ice cream every day -- Scoops has great ice cream flavors, and I love my shakes from there, BUT - you CANNOT get an edible ice cream cone from Scoops because the owner is too ignorant and dumb to provide a NORMAL ROUND SCOOPER TO MAKE A NORMAL EDIBLE ICE CREAM CONE -- 100% ICE CREAM CONE FAIL❗️❗️❗️❗️ If you want a cutesy SQUARE ice cream scoop in a bowl, then this is your place...if you want a good shake, Scoops has great flavors....but if you want an ice cream cone - SCOOPS IS NOT THE PLACE TO COME TO BECAUSE YOU CANNOT FIT A SQUARE SCOOP OF ICE CREAM INTO ANY CONE WITHOUT THE CONE FALLING APART AND FALLING ALL OVER THE PLACE IN YOUR HANDS AND ON YOUR CLOTHING❗️❗️❗️❗️ The owner is not smart enough to give the customer a choice of scoop styles FOR THEIR ICE CREAM CONES❗️ OR IF the owner chooses to ONLY GIVE SQUARE SCOOPS IN A CONE - then the owner is deliberately and knowingly cheating every ice cream cone of the true value of ice cream you are paying for❗️❗️❗️

First time checking out the place with the SQUARE ice cream scoops! I knew the second I saw it that my daughter would choose the pink and blue Cotton Candy flavor. My son had to try a few but went with a Chocolate Mint. Both opted for a sugar cone.

I had researched what my options would be before coming. Dairy free included the Rainbow Sherbet and Dole Whip, which I'm not sure I've had before. They had Pineapple and Raspberry or said they could swirl it. It was yummy! Tart and sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Kids had to help me finish it and I only got a small!

My husband and I went to scoops on Friday at 2:00 pm. We were surprised that the doors were locked and the lights were on. The family before us stated that someone was there but they locked the doors for unknown reason. My husband and I looked for a sign to indicate when the store would be open again (maybe the door was locked because the staff needed a lunch break). We waited until 2:39 pm and we finally saw a staff member appear so we waited for her to open the door and she never did. She did see us at the door waiting but would not acknowledge us. We were very surprised by this and decided to leave. We understand if the staff needs a break - they definitely deserve one, but maybe leave a sign on the door stating what time the store would be open again instead of just leaving us to wait and...
