Subway — Restaurant in Lincoln

The store wasn't very busy when I arrived so only one employee was making sandwiches so I waited on the customer ahead of me to get his 2 sandwiches that she made and had to ring him up give change wash her hands and get ready for my order. As she started my order I ask the nice young lady is she had any help as there where 3 more customers behind me now. She didn't answer. All the while the MANAGER was watching everything from the time I walked up. Office door open watching this lady try to do a good job and take care of customers. I asked her if that was her manager. She replied yes sir. I said she seems to be useless sitting there watching people leave the line because the girl was doing all she could do to keep us happy but one person can only do so much. I said to the manager "If you'd get up off your ass and help this girl your customers wouldn't be walking out without even getting a chance to order. Her reply was. ( Keep in mind this is the damn manager!!!!!!!!) I'm on my break! I said well being the manager sometimes you have to help out even if it cuts your break short. She just giggled and said I have to take my break. It's the law. So I gave her a disgusted look and paid for my sandwich and gave the young lady a $5 tip for her hard work with no help from her useless manager. I'll not be back unless I see the nice gentleman manager (whom has been there a long time)that goes above and beyond his duty to make sure everyone is taken care of with a smile on his face. I hope this issue is seen by the management of this company and handled appropriately. She didn't mind watching YOUR Money walk out the door with pure disgust on their face. Don’t go here if you actually want a sandwich. They never have bread ready. Every time we go, they are out. This time we called an hour ahead to make sure they would have some which they did not but said it would be ready in an hr. So with a sick kid and sick wife at home, an hr later I drove to the store. When I showed up an hour later as I was instructed by the employee said apparently the bread had 45 minutes left even though it looked perfectly done. I live 5 minutes down the road from this location and I’ll never be back. I will drive the extra 10 miles to go to the next subway if we want it because they’re always ready. At nearly 1 am, we stopped to get gas. I could smell the most amazing aroma of breads and meats before I even entered the gas station. I am so glad that we decided to stop at the exit. The cashier, Renita, was truly a pleasure to meet. She has the most perfect personality, attitude, and manners; that every person who works witht he public should aspire to have!!! I was so tired and drained from the road that I was beginning to get a little irritated.... That is before I walked up to the counter at Subway!!!
