Friendly, welcoming service. There was one family in there at peak dinner hour. My spouse ordered the Carne Asada house special, I ordered the Urbano's tacos house special (with chicken). The food was delivered shockingly quick - even if we were at a fast food restaurant. Carne Asada plate- since it was delivered so quickly, we were expecting it to be piping hot. No; luke warm. Looked kinda like a thin ham steak. Flavors were there, says my spouse. Mine - the Urbano's Tacos - inedible. Sorry guys. The waitress was so lovely and friendly, that's the rub. And a great spot. Nice outdoor patio. Good enough indoor vibe that I would return for that. TV's, bar, plenty of space. Yet...no.one.there. Anyhow the chicken tacos: imagine you've left shredded chicken leftovers in your fridge for two days too long. Then imagine that you add some sort of light dusting/breading (??) or something to disquise this to your house guests that just dropped by because you don't have anything to feed them. That is what it was like. I did not eat it. But I tore it apart to appear the I did something with it so as not to insult the sweet and gracious waitress. I told her I'd filled up on chips and salsa- which I subsequently did because the food was...
Read moreSo I wish people would actually write honest reviews on here because there are none or the owner himself puts up good reviews which is very dishonest, restaurants cannot get better if people do not write an honest review. My wife and I started out going to this restaurant about 6 months ago, we felt like it was a little hole in the wall so it must be good. the food is mediocre at best it's about the same lines as taco bell and I'm not being picky just honest, there is never anyone in there when we go, maybe a couple or 2 and we always go around dinner time or lunch time. We give restaurants a fair chance we Try them out 6 times just to give a fair chance 6 out of 6 times food is bland or a way too salty we ordered a chimichanga and when it came out there were 2 miniature chimis they were soft, not crispy no sauce on them just totally not what it should be,Canned pinto beans and mediocre cheese so when you pay $15 for a plate you would expect something at least like the picture even if they charged $25 a plate we would pay it for good food!! I think this place has potential if they would listen but I think it's all about the bottom dollar at this point or they are not making enough money to...
Read moreThis is my family's go to Mexican restaurant. I've had many different items off the menu. I've never had a bad meal here. Staff is always quick and friendly. Plenty of chips and salsa when you arrive. Salsa has a nice zing to it. Drink orders are taken quickly. Orders arrive in a timely manner. Always plenty to eat or even take home.
Urbano's is a clean, typically decorated Mexican restaurant. Spacious, never over crowded, with a nice full bar and plenty of TV's playing sports. Also an outside dining area.
This trip my guest had the 2 burritos combination plate. I opted for my favorite, a special on this night, Pozole. If you never have had it it's like a salsa soup with big chunks of slow cooked pork or chicken in it. Yum.
Urbano's servers it with fresh cabbage, cilantro, lemon wedge, and a bowl of dried oregano. Add the ingredients, give the lemon squeeze, sprinkle the oregano, and bring your taste buds alive. It's a 5 star...
