Our home was under renovation and we stayed at the La Quinta Inn for four nights. We arrived without a reservation and that was never an issue. The Inn is Pet Friendly-that was important to us - we have two small rescues. |The desk agent, Bre, was immediately helpful, showed me a room on the first floor, near an exit, that I booked. About an hour later, I wanted to make a change of rooms, and Bre did not skip a beat, she found a room on the first floor near an exit, that was perfect. All the staff were great, very helpful, and really took care of us during our four day stay. The nights were quiet for sleeping.|The reservation included a morning breakfast: coffee, juices, hot and cold cereals, eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, assorted muffins, yogurts, and toasts. I would not hesitate to stay at La Quinta again, but, if you have pets, read on.|The La Quinta Inn advertises as Pet Friendly. While they allow pets, it is not pet friendly for the either the pet or the pet owner. There is no area designated as a pet potty area. The landscaping is strictly plants in plant beds filled with rocks. There was some landscaping that had ground cover of rough bark mulch (hard to see dog droppings on brown bark!), but there was absolutely NO place for an animal to go potty. Most animals are naturally trained to potty on lawn, not on hot rock beds that are too hot for animal paws to walk on let alone, stand to go potty. Lastly, there was no garbage can at the back door to dispose of bagged dog droppings. These failings are all easy to remedy: plant a lawn somewhere and post a garbage can at the back door. Instant Pet...
Read moreNothing better than a brand new hotel. Our king-sized room was spacious, nice design, did not have a room safe (didn’t request one so it may be an option), TV channels limited and outdated, unable to connect to streaming, Bluetooth sound is the only option. Sparkling clean bathroom, Dove-brand shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers are mounted, small travel-size Dove soap bar, no hand or body lotion, nice towels and a decent hair dryer, housekeeping starts very early. Decent breakfast, ran out of eggs and sausage both days of our stay, unable to know when food is replenished with a wall between food and dining, reception and dining area are continually cleaned (I’d like to hire that guy, diner girl not so much), small indoor pool with outdoor patio area attached, outdoor patio access poorly communicated, unaware it existed until the morning of check out. Good location, came for a show at The Venue, close proximity to the casino, located in a newly developing area, fast food and convenience stores nearby, better choice than the casino. The staff was professional and very accommodating, we will...
Read moreThe hotel is new and beautiful, employees are nice, but the room had ANTS! These ANTS were in the coffee pot, yes I said coffee pot, and in the bathroom. I was really wanting a cup of coffee after traveling and I opened the reservoir to fill with water and it was already full of water and ANTS! GROSS! I did let the front desk know and they brought up a new pot. The employee that delivered the pot told me ANTS are considered “good luck” where she comes from. 😳 Next, I go to take a shower and the water pressure was so low that it was difficult to rinse off. Nothing worse than taking a shower with no water!! We had booked this room far in advance and were told the room would be a little over $200 but I didn’t write it down…we got charged $317 and change!!! I’m sorry, the room was nice and new but certainly nothing worth that much money especially when I look online and the same room is way less expensive. Very...
