My family of 7 came to Valentinoâs for lunch on New Yearâs Eve and were enjoying our time until the rude waitress Anna decided to get an attitude with us and ruined our entire dining experience. She got mad because we had placed our dirty plates on an empty table next to us. The only reason we did that was because she wasnât doing her job right and hadnât come to clear our old plates after almost an hour of us being here. We wanted to go up to the buffet for 2nds and we had no other place to put them. What did she expect, for us to continue to pile up the trash until it was falling on the floor? There were plenty of other empty tables as well, so itâs not like they were running out of tables for people. And it wasnât like she was too busy either because for part of the time she was just standing to the side of the room chatting with other employees. There was no excuse for her rudeness. Iâm so disappointed, because of this waitress I have decided that my family wonât be coming back to Valentinoâs. Itâs sad how just 1 waitress can ruin an entire restaurant. But it is what it is if this is how they allow their waitresses to treat customers. I respect most waitresses because I know itâs not an easy job, but Anna at Valentinoâs doesnât deserve any respect at all. If you come here I highly recommend you ask for a different waitress. Although I did appreciate the kindness the lady at the front showed us and the servers at the buffet. But the rudeness this one single waitress exhibited towards my family overshadowed the kindness of all the other employees. Like the saying goes, one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch...
Also, Anna even tried to threaten us with her manager and we told her fine have him come by our table because we wanted to speak with him. He came, but didnât really do anything. He even acted like he didnât believe that his waitress had an attitude with us.... Whatever. I just felt like he blew us off and didnât care. If he doesnât start handling his employees like a real manager then Valentinoâs is going to lose a lot of business.... starting with ours. Goodbye Valentinoâs. Youâve lost an entire family of customers. Itâs heartbreaking because we had so many memories with this restaurant.
I have included a picture of the waitress so that others can see what waitress Iâm...
Read moreWe haven't eaten at Vals for several years - it used to be a go-to place when we came to visit family. Now we live here and the other day I took a bunch of co-workers there. I was disappointed.
Sure, the food tasted good, and there was enough of a selection for my vegetarian friends, but the servers concerned me. It wasn't just that they didn't seem to enjoy their job, nor that they didn't interact with customers in a friendly manner - no, it went beyond that.
Unhappy employees in a restaurant concern me because I worry about cleanliness and quality. If an employee isn't happy - especially when they are in the front with customers - what are they like in the kitchen and out of the public's eyes? If they can't keep the dinner plates stocked, the mac & cheese stirred, or the countertops wiped - what is happening to my food when I can't see it.
This isn't because Valentino's employees are bad people - this is a management issue.
The overhead music was too loud and too "energetic" for a relaxed dining experience. The employees were rushed and unhappy. The countertops and utensils needed closer attention. Many of the food dishes needed to be stirred and/or restocked.
Of course the pizza and other cheesy, greasy, fatty, sugary foods were great! But that's easy.
We talked afterwards, and of the seven adults in our party, none of us want to return. It's just scary - one doesn't want to get sick...
Read moreâPatience is a virtueâ At first I was slightly annoyed, Because I ordered online take out which indicated it might take 20 minutes or more depending on how busy it is. Which is totally understandable. The place was extremely busy, Which in my opinion means the food is pretty good. I waited patiently because you could see the work staff was working hard to fill everybodyâs orders.
Once I got home I realized that the salad was incorrect and I was missing garlic bread. I realized it was an honest mistake because they were extremely busy. But you always want what you paid for. I decided to call the store and talk to the manager (Dennis) I explain the situation and told him I wasnât mad I just asked if it would be possible to get a refund for the garlic bread.
Way to go Valentinoâs Business Motto. Not only is your food good but you have...
