**update to new menu as of 6.23.2024. My family and I were headed to a comedy show tonight and I wanted to treat them to my favorite place in Lincoln. After this new updated menu and the drop in quality, that is no longer the case and we'll never come back. The updated menu is minimal, the portions are smaller than small, the meat was overcooked and the service was slow. 5 drinks from the bar took FOREVER. I should've ordered 2 drinks for the 10 min it took. The appetizers, were so little. We ordered the cheese curds ans wings. For 5 people we each got 2-3 bites. The ribeye is now off the menu and the steak options are all less than 8 oz. I opted for the short rib but it was so overcooked and dry. It was visibly dry, let alone the taste. I would compare the flavor to an overcooked roast. The steak frites were a major disappointment, too. They were supposed to be medium rare and were medium well. The fry portions were compared to a children's meal. For the cost of these meals, the portions and quality were beyond disappointing. To top off the entirely disappointing experience, the company of gnats that lingered the entire visit. I will never entertain the idea of coming back here after all of these changes. Original review: August 2023- Up until this point, I was convinced I had to go to Omaha for a good steak. Our experience here proved me wrong! The ribeye steak is by far my favorite, but for how amazing this one was it would be nice to see a NY strip on the menu too. I ordered medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. The best part, it's cooked over charcoal, giving it the perfect crispy edges. The cut of the meat was also perfect! Beautiful thickness and the most tender of ribeyes I've had in the longest time. Every bite of this steak was worth the calories. The description of the items which came with the steak were weird to me, so I asked for the potatoes on the side and for no Brussel sprouts. I did have a side of wild mushrooms that were very tasty! Meant to be shared I'm sure but I could've had them to myself. The potatoes were really good and unique in taste and texture. Every bite of this was 10/10. We went with cheese curds as an appetizer and those were a hit and tempting to order more. The pineapple margarita was my drink of choice and very good! To finish everything off was the creme brulee, and to fit the rest of the menu, was perfect. It's actually making me hungry just thinking of how good everything was.All staff was nice and our server, Elise was pleasant.

Excellent service, excellent food, fun atmosphere! We had an 8 person graduation dinner at this new restaurant and we were treated wonderfully. They even decorated the table for Graduation. The half chicken was moist with a crispy skin, and the potatoes soft in the center & crispy on the outside. Delicious! The salmon was outstanding! The ribeye cooked to perfection. Excellent service. The Well & Good is a great restaurant and part of The Scarlet Hotel. The rooftop bar is opulent, luxurious, with a great view and great selection of spirits. Highly recommend you visit both!

This is located in the Scarlett Hotel on Innovation Campus. The menu was smaller but simple and very good. We got the short rib and beet salad with salmon. We also chose the Brussels which is listed as a side vegetable but it was delicious to have as a starter. The service was great and if you want a special date night or night out it has a great atmosphere and classy look. We really liked this place and the hotel has a roof top bar that we will need to check out next time.

Went here today on date night after it was highly recommended by friends.

We get there, everything was clean, so great. We get a table, which wasn't in a great location (next to a pillar and kind of small) and it was just a little cramped...this isn't the end of the world, but better tables where available, not sure why the tall and large person needed to be seated at the smallest table.

The menu looked very good...not too many options, everything priced premium, which made me assume the quality should be premium as well.

We started with the duck wings. They came out very well done, just not a lot of food on them, but great flavor and start, good sauce.

She had the kale salad with salmon. The salmon was dry, and didn't taste great because of that, but I was able to tell that it was fresh, so it seemed to have been cooked too long. The salad was fine, nothing to write home about.

I had the pork chop, and it came out looking promising, but on the first bite I could tell that this was also dry. The sides that came with it (squash, sweet potato, some greens) were pretty bland. The pork chop from the description was supposed to have some sweetness to it, but I mostly tasted butter and some apple slices, this did help the dryness a lot, but it didn't change the fact that the pork chop wasn't great. I don't like getting something at a restaurant, where after a few bites I can say that I can make this better at home, especially at higher priced items. The portion itself was also relatively small.

We each also had a drink, which was actually pretty good overall.

We had dessert, with apple pie, ice cream and tiramisu. The sage apple pie wasn't my favorite, but it was fine, I think if it was warmed up by default it would have been better. The ice cream came from the unl dairy store, which is always great. The tiramisu was pretty tasty, but an incredibly small portion.

Service was ok. We had to ask if there are desserts off the menu. My pop was never refilled (my water was).

Obviously, I am not a person that complains a lot at the restaurant, I like things to just play out, and see if the experience takes care of itself, otherwise if I would want to manage everything I can just eat at home...but in the end everything above was a relatively negative experience.

We ended up spending $132 plus tip, and there are a few places where I know i leave much happier and more satisfied, like venue.

Sadly I'm not sure if we will ever have the urge to...

Really disappointed that this place has gone so down hill. The restaurant is beautiful and has an upscale feel. When we first stopped in shortly after this hotel opened, everything was great. They had one of the best burgers in town and the service was friendly and attentive. We recently went for supper and noticed things had declined and just went for brunch this morning and it was awful. Our supper was decent but the menu has changed and quality of food is not nearly as good as it used to be. We were also swatting gnats throughout our meal, which was weird but didn’t think too much about it. The service was not great - slow and the waitress was not very friendly. We went up to the rooftop bar afterwards for a couple drinks and it was a joke. Again, beautiful building and view but horrible service.

We gave this place one more shot for brunch and it was shockingly terrible. We walked in there to be told they were only doing a brunch buffet, which was not listed on their website. Oh well, we decided to give it a shot. Big mistake. Sat down and again noticed gnats buzzing around. We walked over to the buffet and scared a bunch of gnats off the salad bar table. This should have been the first sign. All of their ‘hot’ items looked ok until you took the first bite. Everything was completely cold (Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes). It clearly had been sitting out for hours with no heat source. Not only gross, but dangerous. Hoping we don’t get sick. The chicken sliders were actually inedible. Should have stuck to the made to order counter because that is the only thing that was served hot and somewhat fresh. We had no idea how much the buffet was going to cost. THIRTY-TWO DOLLARS per person. Unbelievable.

It’s sad because this is a great location, beautiful building, and has a lot of potential. But unless we start hearing good things about this place again, we won’t be back. It needs a serious overhaul in food and...
