We live in Linton and typically just grab our coffee from the local McDonald's. Feeling a bit adventurous, we decided to give this local coffee shop a try after seeing the overwhelming positive reviews on Google. We gave them 2 attempts, yesterday (3/11) and this morning (3/12) where we were surprisingly disappointed. On 3/11 we went in the morning and got an Iced Carmel Macchiato and a Hot Mocha. Both drinks were actually fairly good. I would have placed them above Starbucks in terms of quality. Later that day we decided to give lunch a try. We went around 2PM to see their lunch menu and we were told they had no sandwiches. They didn't have anything for lunch other than brownies, cookies, and bagels. We opted for a couple of their Iced Peach Teas instead and we would just go get food somewhere else. It almost appeared as they were closing because they didn't even have any tea prepared - granted they close at 6PM according to their hours. The barista scrambled to make a couple of Peach Teas and they were not anything special. They didn't have any sort of sweetener, completely bland. I didn't mind because I like the taste of tea but my girlfriend couldn't drink it. This morning (3/12) we decided to go back and give them another attempt with some morning drinks. We ordered the same Iced Carmel Macchiato and a Chai Latte. The barista told my girlfriend that they had no vanilla syrup which is a component of the macchiato. How do you have no vanilla syrup for drinks on a Saturday morning? They said they could substitute the mocha syrup instead. We agreed and then they proceeded to make a HOT variation when we asked for Iced. On top of that, my Chai Latte, while quite flavorful, was about 50% foam. I felt completely ripped off on that one. What a shame.
TLDR: We gave this local coffee shop 2 attempts on 2 separate days to provide a satisfactory experience. Service is what it is. Store can't keep common ingredients or items stocked during normal hours of operation. Consistently in drink quality is an...
Read moreup until yesterday, I came into Francisco nearly every weekday to get work done. I always, always buy something before leaving the store, and even have a rewards card. yesterday, I came in and sat down - I wasn’t quite hungry yet, so I didn’t order right away. the owner shouts to me from behind the counter and asks what I’d like to order. I tell him I’m not quite hungry yet but I’ll order something later. 10 minutes later, he comes up to me and asks what he can get for me. again, I say I’m not hungry yet but I’ll order something later. finally, about 20 minutes later, he walks up to me again and insists that i buy something “right now.”
on some levels, I get it. the guy doesn’t want people to sit around and use their wifi and not buy something. but i’m not just some freeloading bum off the street. i give this place my business nearly every weekday, sometimes spending over $10 for lunch, and the one time I decide to wait awhile, i’m forced to buy an iced tea or i’ll be kicked out. now, because of this incredibly rude and embarrassing interaction with the owner, I don’t want to come back. it was humiliating. i just sat in the corner and cried and felt just completely betrayed by the one place I thought I could count on.
the one star is for you, jeff. i hope you’re happy you got your $1.50 and...
Read moreStopped by this location on the recommendation of a friend. He was not wrong the drinks here are delicious. I ordered a small since it was my first time visiting and wanted to make sure the drink was to my liking before opting for a medium or large in the future. The lady working the stand was super friendly. I asked if she was the owner because she seemed so passionate about the place. She politely informed me she wasn't but that she has worked there for years and was very happy to do so. The wife and I both enjoyed the atmosphere, very inviting and friendly and also quiet enough we could come to just to hang out sometime. It was towards the end of the business day so no crowd to be seen in my photos but I'm actually shocked because the quality put Starbucks to shame.
I'm honestly thinking I will be stopping by here tomorrow to get a large and enjoy for myself. The wife and I both discussed as we were leaving and we will definitely be coming back in the future. To the kind lady making the drinks, sorry I didn't get your name but you...
