Sportsmans Pub — Restaurant in Linton

Pretty darn good pub fare for a small town. Beer Cheese was good with the Buttery Pretzels, Beer Battered Onions were huge, with a Horseradish dip that was perfect. Had Ham Steak and Baked Potato and Charbroiled Catfish and Steak Fries. Catfish could've used more seasoning, but once he peppered it and used lemon, it was Lemon Pepper Catfish. Broccoli Cheddar Soup lacked any real broccoli, which was one of the Vegetables on the side order menu, so they should borrow a few florets for the soup ;-) Hubby liked the homemade tartar sauce, too. We'll go back to try the Wings, steaks, and Shrimp. They have a Specials Board on the sidewalk; hoping for St. Patrick's Day Saturday they'll do Green Beer and Corned Beef...

First time visit. Food was great. Had the ribeye with a loaded potato and onion rings. Steak was cooked perfectly and was seasoned well and super tender and juicy. Giving service a 4 star because I walked in and found a table and then around 4 minutes later 2 other people walked in and got a table and when the lady at the bar asked if it was just me, they told one server and I watched her kind of sneer and walked over and took the order of the people that came in behind me. Service & atmosphere was great. I didn't like the fact that I ordered water to drink & it was tap water that had already melted any ice that was in it. I asked for just a glass of ice & she brought me another glass (same size) to pour my 1st glass into. When I got refill later she brought me 2 more the same way. Also, I got the prime rib (med) & hubby got his surf & turf (ribeye-med rare).
