The 'Sip Taproom — Restaurant in Lisbon

First time here and we decided to try it on Sat. of Valentines Day weekend. Not busy when we arrived and immediately got a table on the heated patio area which was nice. Server took our drink orders and appetizers to start. Immediately they were out of certain appetizers. We attempted to order our dinners only to find out they were out of 4 of the 8 specials currently on the menu. This was at 5:30 on a Saturday and a holiday weekend so I would think they would be a little better prepared. Everyone was pleased with the quality of what we ordered but small portions for what you're charged. After finishing dinner we had to ask if they had a dessert menu and was told by our server they would have to check on it. We waited patiently while enjoying some conversations only to have to ask our server an additional 2 times what they offered for desert. Finally after the third attempt we were told they had a multi-berry cheesecake. 3 of 5 in our party ordered the cheese cake since that was the only option, only to find out they only had 2 pieces left. Not everyone received the desert they were hoping to try but the ones who did try it said it was good. Finally I received our bill for 3 people. I drank 1 beer the other 2 in our party had soft drinks, 3 entrees and 1 piece of cheese cake and our total bill before tip was over $100. This is Lisbon, Ohio not Columbus, Cleveland, or even Pittsburgh, PA. With the experience we had we won't return for a long time and only if we hear good things from good sources. I don't see this place making it in a small town...

Our first visit to the "Sip Taproom with our family & friends. Food is excellent, made fresh with a fine twist of flavor. The beef stroganoff was delicious, the beef was cooked perfect and so tender it melts in your mouth! Served over the right amount of egg noodles that didn't overwhelm the dish. Just the right portion! Smash burgers were cooked perfect, the meat was succulent and full flavored served with fresh cut fries! Lobster roll was delicious (2 for a serving) as was the gumbo. We had such a wonderful evening, the wait staff was outstanding, took the time to answer all our menu questions, very kind and caring. This is a gem in Lisbon, small family owed business ~very caring staff. Or compliments to the chef! We will return. Specials...
