Love Heart's Bakery and Cafe — Restaurant in Litchfield

I ate cake and it was cake. I like the cake because it tasted cakey. When I was 3 I had some cake and it was better but this tasted like cake. I really like cake. Cake just batters me up and I won't sugar coat it. I had another cake when I was 5 and Jerome was there. Man I miss Jerome. Too bad fell in meat grinder. He will be missed when I eat cake. I have been watching "Baking Bad" recently. For a cake crazer like me, it's batch made heaven for cakes. When I had a cake at this cake shop, it was really good. They really good blue and brown cakes. I made a cake rap when I ate the cake and it sounded like Eminem but for cakes. cakey cakey cakey, btw my favorite game is paddy cake, so its even bitter!!! who doesnt love cake, also my mommy says my ipad time is running out, so i have to stop writing, and i have to go to bed, im past my bedtime and its really sad. i love morgz he is such a cutie and he did a whoever eats the most cake wins 10000 dollars and it was such a good video. hes my fav yter cause he SPEAKS REALLY LOUD! I LOVE CAKE SO MUCH...

We walked in on our first time visiting (finally) and had no clue where to go as the dining room is in front of you, and the coffee/ordering area is to the right, near the exit door. The man (maybe owner) didn't greet us, acknowledge us, just let us walk in and kind of wander into the back of the dining area to which I said to my partner "I don't think we are supposed to go back there" and the man said "not unless you're eating" like... Hi to you too? Can you direct us where to order our food and coffee and give you our business??? Such poor customer service from him. The young woman that made our bagels was sweet. The coffee was poorly advertised, as it was mostly just a "serve yourself" with the coffee options of lattes etc listed over near where we initially walked in where the man was standing (which is what initially confused us) - but it really didn't seem like anyone was trying to make a latte. I have been wanting to try this place for a few years so was definitely disappointed with the lack of friendliness...

I would like to be clear about my review. The food at this cafe is wonderful, home made, and delicious. What bothered me the most was that they were not being Covid-19 compliant. I understand that everyone is entitled to their opinion about masks and such. However, when I went into get my breakfast sandwich, there were 8 customers in the business, NONE OF THEM wearing masks. I went to order, and the counter person had their mask off their nose, and the person cooking the food was not wearing a mask at all. On their entrance, they state that a mask is required, but apparently it's not when they don't want to enforce it. I will not go back again, as it's just good business practice to enforce the policy you have plastered to your front entrance. I have enough exposure to Covid through my work. I don't want more exposure when I'm spending my money on food. I hope the owner takes note of...
