We have previously dined at the Lewisville Location, so when I saw the advertisement of the Grand Opening on April 17th for Little Elm, I got excited and promptly made a reservation online for 11AM. Oz, John, and Family were all there and it was so wonderful to see them achieve and celebrate a new milestone with a Little Elm Location. We got to chat with Oz and John and they remembered us from their first location. There was even a ribbon cutting to commemorate this special day. We will be patrons of both locations going forward and adding to our list of restaurant rotations in a 20-mile radius.
Walking in, you are met with modern flair, a traditional vibe, and an intricate, colorful design which brings a vibrant burst of energy to the space and is beautiful as it is inviting.
The Food, Drinks, Service, and Ambiance were nothing short of outstanding! Sophia was our server; she was warm, attentive, and kind. Always made sure we had what we needed. Started things off with Chips, Salsa, and Black Bean Dip. These ought to win a blue-ribbon award, because that is how crispy and delicious they are! The Texture, the flavor; it’s all there, and the portions are perfect!
Mom ordered the Chicken Enchiladas with Double Rice and I ordered the Reina’s Special. The Crispy Cheese Pupusa, Yuca Fries, Chicken Tamale, Rice, Black Beans, Plantains, and Pickled Cabbage were delicious and authentically made from scratch and pleasing to the palate.
We each ordered a Mango Margarita on the rocks (with tajin on the rim) and it, too, was smooth with a delightful zing. We ordered a Flan to-go. I can say with certainty that it was one of the best desserts I have ever had. Smooth and creamy with just a tad of sweetness. On our last visit, we had the Chocolate Tres Leches Cake. Both great Desserts.
Oz and John are like Family now. You walk into their restaurant and you know you’re in for a treat - as you are pampered right from the beginning to the completion of your meal. We will...
Read moreAs a resident of Little Elm for the last 17 years, I am thrilled to have a restaurant like Casa Mia nearby. Casa Mia has raised the standard for all full-service restaurants in Little Elm. Finally, we don't have to drive to Frisco or Plano for great food in a nice environment.
We were greeted by actually hostesses who held the door for us and enthusiastically welcomed us. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server, Sophie. She helped us with our questions and made some great suggestions. Get the guacamole with the corn and Tajin upgrade!
The restaurant is attractively designed and decorated, and sparkling clean, including the restroom.
I had a really great frozen mango margarita with a Grand Marnier float. It was reasonably priced and very smooth. They are working on adding better wine selections, but the cocktail menu is well done.
For dinner, we had the surf and turf (carne asada and shrimp), and combo fajitas for one. Everything came out quickly, maybe a little too quickly. The food was hot and fresh. I was impressed with the flavor and generous portions of the entrees. I look forward to trying more.
The staff was very friendly. Even those we didn't interact with smiled at us. The General Manager came to speak with us, and he was open to hearing feedback. My only suggestion was to lower the lighting for dinner, as it was a little bright.
Overall, we were delighted with our experience. I hope that Casa Mia thrives in Little Elm for years to come. As long as they maintain the service, food and beverage quality, and cleanliness, we will be back...
Read moreLet me start with why my rating for atmosphere was not a "5." I like to dine in the evening where it is more cozy, not so bright, and with lots of booths. The restaurant is well lit and had few booths. The advantage to the lighting, however, is that you can see how spotlessly clean it is! It is a brand new building in a strip of shops and it will have an outdoor seating space when the weather gets warmer. (I think....There is a covered patio right next to it.) There is a full bar available with bar seating. The food was AMAZING! I cook a variety of foods at home and it takes someplace really special for me to be "wowed." The variety of specialty Latin dishes and drinks was impressive. I had a vegetable chili relleno and refried black beans and spiced rice and my husband got a skirt steak dish with plantains and fried yuca. The food was seasoned and cooked to perfection. If you have not had these dishes, I highly recommend them. The chips and salsa that came out before the meal were really fresh and also perfectly seasoned. The server that was assigned to our table was running behind (I guess) so another server came and got our drink orders and went ahead and took our meal order, too! Our server was sort of astonished, I think (the restaurant is new so all staff are newly working together) but I was impressed how they were working as a team, helping each other out and I hope they keep that culture. All of the staff were welcoming...
