I had business in Plano so I knew I was going to need a lunch spot so I looked for the highest rated food in the area and Bien Chido was rated very highly by many. I asked my customer about it and he said go there, it's great. So I did. First of all, this place is off the path in downtown Plano which means it's off the path, big-time. I stepped out of my car and thought, "what the hell is this place?" It is a faded red building with an old sign scratched out with spray paint. I was very worried even though I read and heard it was great. And, if you didn't hear or read about it, you would never think it's a place to eat, nevertheless a great meal. I guess, though, alot of dives are where great food exists, but this takes it a step further. We entered and it was nicer but still nothing special. You order at the counter and it's pretty scattered. Also, they need an ice machine because they only have a bucket of ice that coagulates to an ice brick. First, the chips and salsa were good like alot of authentic Mexican restaurants, but nothing special. However, the meals are straight up AMAZING! All meats are grilled to order. You taste the fire grilling which makes the tacos, burritos, tortas, etc better than anywhere else I've eaten. Phenomenal! The steak and chicken is great tasting and the al pastor was extremely tasty and different than I've ever had. The Al Pastor is sweet with small chunks of pineapple and smoky with a little spice. I was very impressed with the food. In the end, I'd give the food 6 stars but the outside and inside 2 stars because they need to get rid of the spray painted sign from the old business that was there and they need to improve the customer experience with regards to simple things like ice and more variety of soft drinks. IF THEY CAN TAKE CARE OF THOSE TWO ISSUES, I WOULD GIVE THEM MORE...
Read moreFirst time there and the first impression was no where to sit and was told by I’m assuming a waiter to sit where ever. I’m like hum, only 2 tables clean. There was stale chips and salsa brought to the table. Other salsas where In a bottle struggled to get it out, waitress said hit the bottom hard, hum. So then we where waiting for someone to take our order. When someone said if your ready to order go to the counter to place your order. Why tells us to take a seat, should have had us order first. Then we get our food and no drinks, waitress says anything’s else? Um yes our drinks. Weirdest place. Oh and then the employees are sitting at another table gossiping instead of cleaning the tables. Un except able.. 1st and last time there. Oh the food was ok, yeah just ok. Not worth giving it a...
Read moreTonight my husband and I dined in at Bien Chido. Let me just say it was AH-MAZ-ING! Possibly the best tacos I've had in my life! To start there salsa served in house is great, just enough kick and bursting with flavors! The (3) salsas they bring with your dishes are to die for and I'm sure I'll have cravings for the flavor packed power of each. I had the 3 Takos Plate and my husband the chicken burrito. My tacos were the shrimp, asada, and chicken to sample one of each. All three were so delicious I can't even pick a favorite! My husband killed his burrito in no time and LOVED every bit. Overall I am extremely pleased to finally have a great go to place for phenomenal...
