I had the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I have been here once before and it was good. To start off, I went out to eat with a few friends and waited a while to be seated until we just decided to walk to the bar. My friends and I ordered food and oysters (separate orders) which took over 20 min. to get the bar tender Alex's (?) attention. We ordered a few drinks. We waited over a half hour to get Alex's attention to order dinner and still did not get it because our server, Alex, kept passing us by. We decided to close out and leave. Once I got my bill, I realized I was being charged over $20 more of what my actual bill was, and what I was charged was total different from what my friend and I ordered. I brought this up to Alex and he said he will take $10 off, but it was still so far off of what I should have been charged. He then accused me of lying and trying to steal. He said whatever and he would check the cameras to see if I was lying. I told him that was fine because I knew what we ordered and he was over charging me. After 10 min. of him and another worker looking through the cameras (right in front of me). He eventually came back to me and told me my bill will be exactly what I told him it should have been. I asked him politely, what did he see in the cameras and if I was right? He just said, he will have to go sit down and look at the cameras later, when he already looked at the camera feed. He did not want to admit he was wrong at all and did not apologize for this whole incident. At this time I was over all of this and wanted to leave and left it as it was. I will say to those who go here, to double check what you are getting charged for based on my experience. I thought this was going to be a great time out with friends, but it turned out to be a very stressful and terrible night for not just me but my friends as...
Read moreThis restaurant is huge and has a full bar, I have been here at least 20-30 times for lunch, and besides us there only ever seems to be another table or two of other people eating there when my group is there.
The menu is fairly large, but I only ever order the carnitas tacos, Mexican style with cilantro and onion. Sometimes, these tacos are absolutely delicious, properly seasoned with a bit of melted fat in the meat. Other times, the meat is kind of dry and bland, lacking the same texture and color as usual.
You typically get one wedge of lime per taco, and two corn tortillas per taco, and these are served with two bottles of sauce to put on them as desired, a spicier red sauce and a green salsa verde(the green is much better with them imo).
The prices are really decent, and when I come in on Tuesday I usually can get six tacos for under twenty dollars before tip.
I really only have two gripes about this place, besides the food often being hit or miss flavor wise, we have gotten large bones hidden in the carnitas tacos three times now, and nothing was really done to make up for it. There was no offer to comp any of the tacos or offer of another.
One time when it happened, I pointed it out and was simply asked if I was okay, no real apology or anything for what is a serious mistake by my estimation when it comes to serving food in a restaurant. You do not expect to bite into a bone while eating a taco, and it could obviously do serious damage to your teeth.
I find it especially odd that nothing is done about this considering I almost always tip well above twenty percent, often double.
Other than that, the hand dryer that once worked in the mens restroom has not worked at all for a while now, and there are no paper towels.
I really like coming to this place, and if the above problems were fixed, we might have visited even more often...
Read moreI want to preface this review with saying I have owned and/or operated restaurants for about 15 years and this was our first visit to this location. The atmosphere was good. The food and service were terrible. It took a few minutes to be seated. No big deal. The server came and greeted us after a 5 min wait or so.and We ordered drinks and inquired about the cheese dip (size and spice level). I needed to know if we should order one or two for the table and if it was spicy my daughter cannot tolerate it. The server had no idea what size the cheese dip came as or if a large size was available, she also said it wasn't spicy. We unfortunately ordered the cheese dip when we ordered our drinks. The server seemed bothered that we were not ordering entrees at the same time. The cheese dip came out and was spicy.
So disappointed child.
Next we ordered entrees and I again inquired into what specific ingredients the meals contained due to allergies/sensitivity. The server answered my questions and we ordered accordingly. We ordered flautas, a chimichanga, and a kids quesadilla. The flautas came with items/ingredients that we were not told about. The first one I tried was ROCK hard. More so that any other flautas I have ever had. Also, they just didnt taste good. Like super bland.
I sent it back and didnt request another dish, due to the overall poor quality of food.
My wife ordered the chimichanga. Again, over cooked and she said it just wasnt good; it was bland and mushy. She was nice enough to just mash her food up and mix it around to make it look like she had eaten some of.
Disappointed wife.
My daughter said that she enjoyed her fries. So we did have at least one item that was...
