Luigi's Famous Pizza — Restaurant in Little Silver

I ordered 2 pizzas on Slice and paid for it to be delivered online.....it included a nice tip. The driver came and said that the receipt showed it was not paid for so I gave him cash and a $5 tip...we had company and assumed he was correct...turns out my wife saw that were were charged by Slice and we were now in for close to $90 for 2 pizzas and a double tip fee...Today I called and an employee said the manager would call me back right away...he didnt...I called several hours later and spoke to him...he said the driver was off today and said he didnt have any extra money after turning in his cash for the night and would talk to him tomorrow. Sounds pretty suspicious to me and for what I paid and what it cost I will NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN...I also have some friends who order there on the weekend and Luigis can count them...

Gluten warning

I've seen a lot of comments good & bad about the gluten free pizza from here… within hours after eating my stomach started with the stabbing pains, and I was sick an entire day. I just want to bring awareness to the fact that they may claim this is GF and that they take the proper precautions, but be weary. When I called to order, I explained I had an allergy, and I was told they prepare it in a separate area, but apparently there is a lot of cross contamination at this restaurant…. word around town is others have got sick too and the restaurant doesn’t have compassion for this disease. Anyone with Celiac Disease...STAY AWAY!

I don't want to sound rude or bash this place. I just don't want anyone else to experience...

I am a 35 year customer and a Pizza is a vital part of my diet :) I travel all over the state and no place has the same consistent taste of their pie. My go to ar Luigi Little Silver (no other location) is there sausage featuring Exquisite chunks are real meat, super sauce and unmatched near New Haven like explosive crust. I don't live quite so close so maybe you can make it here once a month....the gravitational pull of a Luigi sausage pie (or slice) to their Little Silver store is a blessing for a guaranteed excellent meal or snack.
