A 'unique for the area' place that is worth a special trip! These are delightfully crafted baked items, rotating throughout each week, that make wonderful gifts. We especially appreciate the effort of making creative, beautiful to the eyes and tummy offerings. But most unexpectedly, the desserts are NOT full of sugar. We can actually enjoy quality product, the textures, the consistency, the flavours without a mouth full of sugar. It is a south central PA miracle! Owner is diligent at showcasing items via Insta. The madeleines are divine with coffee or tea: perfect texture, flavorful and light with a slight citrus surprise. Cupcakes are always moist and tasty with a joyous whipped icing which is complimentary and NOT full of 10x. I have enjoyed desserts from the case and special offerings over the holidays. In my moms opinion, the scones are more cakey than sconey. Anything with chocolate has not disappointed in the least. The shop is small but full of product, including some prepackaged small loafs, cupcakes, cookies or special brownies, etc. They sell tea and coffee, no espresso. We happened upon this bakery today while out running errands. I spotted a gentleman rounding the corner with what appeared to be a pastry box and a coffee. I looked up and saw the words bakery on the tall, white, newly renovated building, and across the street I went! And WOW, I'm glad we did!! This bakery is truly something special; it reminds me of the bakeries up in CT. Littlestown and the surrounding areas are truly fortunate to have such a special place nearby. Firstly, the two gentlemen working were so kind and pleasant. All the pastries and desserts look very appealing. We got the banana Nutella pastry, raspberry pastry, apricot pastry, and a pear scone. They were all so delicious! Although this bakery is 25 minutes from where I live, It will be my go-to place for when I don't want to go to a host's house empty-handed, or to simply brighten up someone's face. I also can't wait to order my first cake from here this spring for my spouses birthday! So I came to possibly pick up a small cake for my husband, not aware that they didn't have those on hand. Instead, I purchased a few cupcakes and two scones. I will admit that one of the cupcakes didn't make it home. They just looked so simplictic and pretty. That was quite possibly the best cupcake I've ever had. I had a scone in the early evening with coffee. I had always thought that scones were meant to me dry and crumbly. I've never been overly impressed by them. Apparently they are not. This place knows how to do scones the right way. Boy oh boy what have I been missing! They were the perfect amount of light crispy flakiness on the outside with a touch of sugar and so moist and delightful on the inside. I could taste mild lemon and delicious blueberries.
