Great logo...that grabbed my attention...very appropriate decor....lots of wood and animals...and its BBQ....Smells awesome from the parking lot...Great selection and wonderful service..Chris you did an outstanding job my friend...great staff everyone was friendly and working....

They have four sauces....Sweet...which was nice but not as sweet as I like....Mild...pretty good stuff...nice with a peppery under tone....Hot....just like mild with a nice little burn in the after taste...but not setting your world on fire and ruining your food HOT...and finally Gold....I usually dont like the gold sauce because it's never balanced...however...these guys hit the balance....right between sweet and acidic...in the south we just say Tangy... the best Gold sauce I've ever had....hands down ..

They have alot of smoked meats...I tried 3 and I liked them all Turkey...mild and understated...but you can taste Turkey...and a kiss of smoke...ok ...a french kiss...but it doesnt over power the delicate turkey flavor... the sausage....the sausage is like a summer sausage but with some heat inside and you can definitely taste a heavy smoke....i really liked it...alot... and last....sliced pork....the king of a BBQ is pork....this pork has that great flavor with a fair amount of smoke but not so much that it's just smoke....folks you taste the pork and a little smoke...they use smoke as a spice here.... complimenting the meats....not just smoking it all up to taste like just smoke....I'm also guessing they smoke with oak...but that ain't verified...

While visiting friends in the area, they recommended this BBQ place. It was a great recommendation. We showed up on a Monday night, after a long day out on the Suwanee River. We were several hours from our previous meal, but I think even if we had eaten within the previous five hours, we still would have found the food delicious.

Simply showing up in the parking lot and smelling the smoke was enough to get the pump primed. It got even better once we got to our tables and were seated.

The decor is a country style wood, mounted animals, and rustic finish. The food is anything BBQ related. We had two servings of pulled pork, one Cuban sandwich and a Sloppy Pig. All of them met with our expectations.

Even better, when you're experiencing a restaurant for the first time, you like it to be a combination of good food, friendly staff and especially, great prices. This met our every expectation on those fronts. We enjoyed a good laugh and some sport with our waitress, especially liked the food and the prices were so amazing! The special was a full plate of food - the pulled pork and your choice of sides, like a baked potato, sweet potato, corn cobette and others, for only about $8. The total meal for all four of us ran under $50, even with some food to take home.

Don't go here unless you are paying cash. Credit card stolen here. We always go out of our way to come to Big Wood BBQ, but this will be our last. We paid with our business credit card. 7 hours later our card was fraudulently trying to be used at American Eagle in Panama City Beach, despite us physically having the card, immediately followed by two separate penny transactions in NY for places we've never heard of. How do we know it was stolen at Big Wood? See, when our waitress took our bill with our card, this is literally the only time since opening this card several months ago that our card has been out of sight while being run. There is literally nowhere else it could have been stolen from. Not sure if a staff member stole the card info or if the restaurants POS credit card system is not encrypted and someone within the restaurant or parking lot was stealing my card info. Either way, this is a direct reflection and problem for the owner and management who are responsible for not keeping on top of this. This is not okay, and sadly, we will now never come back.
