Delicious Indian food, though I've only tried their chicken appetizers, curries and biryanis. I love the variety of the chicken dishes, and am enjoying trying all the appetizers.
It isn't a very fancy sit-down place, much more reasonable and quick food that's a great value and delicious. It doesn't have the full vegetable variety of some places either, it's pretty much just chicken, paneer, and curried veggies. And all the fried breads that I'm not super familiar with.
It's also too spicy for my kids even when ordered mild, so we've switched to lunches. Which is great because they have a Lunch Combo with Rice, Naan, a chicken entree and a chicken appetizer which varies weekly! It's a great deal at $14.50 after tax and I can't eat it all. The fried chicken is always hot and crispy and the butter chicken sauce is super rich. I can believe it's too oily/heavy for some people, but that's why I like it. Spicy too. A great place to pickup lunch or dinner! For a quick small dinner, I would totally just order the Paneer 65 or the Manchurian chicken with a side of rice. Their fried items...
Read moreYesterday, we placed an order for three dishes from Biryaniz: Chicken Biryani, Mutton Biryani, and Thagubothu Chicken (an appetizer). I must admit, I approached the Mutton Biryani with some skepticism as I've often found mutton at other restaurants to be tough or undercooked. However, Biryaniz pleasantly surprised me with their Mutton Biryani - it was not only delicious but authentically prepared.
Since we opted for takeout, I can't provide a review of the ambiance, but I have a strong feeling it's nothing short of impressive. Kudos to Biryaniz for honoring the 30% discount as advertised; it's a gesture that doesn't go unnoticed.
Having lived in Livermore for the past six years, my family and I have eagerly awaited an Indian restaurant in our town. The convenience of not having to order from Dublin due to time and cost constraints is a game-changer.
While every small business faces its initial challenges, I'm confident that Biryaniz has the potential to thrive, especially with the support of the Livermore community. Here's to hoping for the addition of a DoorDash option in the...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible service. Visited with friends for lunch. Everyone’s food made it to the table sooner or later over the duration of an hour. I was left sitting till the end without my order. I went to check in at the counter after 45 minutes to see what happened to my order. I got told it’s coming out next. Waited another 15 minutes. Meanwhile everyone at my table ended up finishing eating. I finally had enough and went up to the counter to get my order canceled. That’s when they were bringing out my food. They told me that they had a new staff member working in the kitchen on the tandoor which is why my order took so much time. I find that hard to believe given everyone around me was getting different breads that get prepared in tandoor as well. Even people who came to dine in after me got their orders before they finally remembered my order. I just got my order...
