Food was good. Had to wait for a table,( not because there weren't any tables avail.) but because the tables available were for six people and it was just myself and my two grandsons and they asked me to wait outside until a small table was available because they wanted to save the large tables for large groups now that's perfectly fine if there was actually other people waiting for tables other large groups, but after 10 minutes of no one coming in and no one coming out to get us I walk back in and said hey listen we're just going to go somewhere else since you don't want to clean one of the smaller tables for us and you don't want us to use a large table. That's when the person decided to show us a table in the back room.. I should have just left but I've heard such great things about the food that I stayed and their food is amazing. Waitress was very nice. The same gentleman who made us wait outside came by to ask us if we were done with our plates and I pointed at the two plates that were done and I said yeah we're done with these.. He then grabbed those two plates and then tried the grab the plate My grandson was still eating from out from under his fork and mouth and I had to stop him and say no he's still eating.. these are the plates that are done.. it's funny how one strange person can mess up your dining experience He seemed very all over the place and antsy and full of anxiety.. we weren't there during a rush or anything everyone else seemed very calm.. but I...
Read moreKnott's Family Diner is one of those places that if it was near me I'd be there for breakfast every single morning. Their food is awesome. Definitely a lot of home cooking going on there. One of the best cups of coffee and one of the only places I'll get coffee with my meal. I don't know where they buy it from but it's just got a really good flavor. They always have specials on the board. The menu has a nice variety of choices. The only drawback of this wonderful place to eat is that it has a very small dining room. There really isn't any place to stand and wait either. I don't believe they take table reservations and so I'm pretty sure it's just first come, first served. But they do have pretty fast service for this tiny little restaurant so the wait won't be too awful long unless there is a lot of people waiting. I can't tell you what time is the best time to go because most every time I've gone it's been pretty busy. I've only had to wait for a place to sit maybe twice. But I go there at least once every couple months just because it's quite a distance from me. But I have found good food is...
Read moreI've eaten here a couple of times, nothing special, but it was close so I decided to stop in for breakfast last Sunday. I walk in, restaurant looks about 2/3rds full. So I wait at the entrance. No host, no sign that says wait to be seated. So I go to an empty seat at the counter, some guy says that seat is reserved. So I sit down at a 4 top. Nobody acknowledges me, so I wait. A few minutes later, a group of four walk in. They are immediately acknowledged and asked how many people. They say 4, some guy walks over to me and says there are a line of people waiting for this table and I have to get up. He says I can sit outside on the bench until something becomes available. I can see at least 3 other empty tables, and there is literally nobody waiting except for the four that walked in after me that he wants to give the table to. What the hell kind of service is this??? I left. As someone that has just moved into town recently, you can be assured I will never go there again, and I'll make sure people know what kind of crappy service...
