Pho Saigon Bay Lodi — Restaurant in Lodi

We have been to Pho Saigon Bay in Lodi twice now… and both times it has been great! The restaurant itself is extremely clean. The staff is very attentive, coming to our table multiple times. If you would like to dine, rather just go in for a quick meal, make sure to tell the server, otherwise you have the possibility of feeling rushed.

We started our meal with shrimp and pork spring rolls. This was the only part of our meal that wasn’t five star worthy… they weren’t wrapped very well, and the shrimp had a distinct smell. The peanut sauce was a little on the strange side. My husband had the grilled pork plate, which he said had a good flavor and was a decent portion size. I had a small bowl of rare beef pho— the flavor was EXCELLENT! It comes with a full plate of bean sprouts, basil, limes and fresh jalapeño slices. Though they only have hoisin and sriracha on the table, you can ask for chili paste and chili oil and they will bring you a little dish of each.

08/09/2025 I placed an order for pick up. I was informed it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived at the time it was supposed to be ready and had to wait an additional 15 minutes. They only had one customer in the place, so I knew they were not busy. The grilled pork spring rolls did not have much flavor even with the peanut sauce. The beef and broccoli were cooked in a garlic sauce, but it tasted fishy. I could not really taste any garlic. The beef chow fun had some of the noodles stuck together. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was just okay and a bit pricier than other local Vietnamese restaurants. They definitely need to improve their service. The phở I ordered was wrong. I tried to get my server's attention, but he had gone to lunch without telling me. The rest of the servers were gathered in a corner, talking. Finally, a female server came over and asked if I wanted some water. I declined and asked for my check and some boxes to go. I waited for about 10 minutes, but she never came back.
