Cafe Sabor — Restaurant in Logan

Where do I start, I have only ate there a hand full of times and each time it's been terrible. Ate there late last year and sat outside. Table was wobbly so i spent the whole time pushing down on it so our drinks didn't spill. It was pretty chilly and no heaters where we sat. We payed a $38 bill with a $50 gift card. We let the remainder for a tip. We sat next to some friends who later told us the waitress came out after we left and made a big scene that we still owed $12. Our friends didn't know what was going on so they payed. After they told us what had happened we called the manager and talked to him about the situation. He recalled the situation and had our receipt. He then looked at it and realized we still had $12 on our gift card. He apologized and said he would have a $25 gift card for us. When I picked it up he told me put OUR $12 gift card towards the $25 he was giving us. So you decide to use our gift card to purchase another gift card to give to us...... BS. Ate there recently (gift card again) and called it in for curbside pickup. Got there, called and they said I would have to come in to pay. I'm not sure how a $15 quesadilla doesn't come with beans and rice but it didn't. I ordered it with no mushroom. Got home and guess what was on my quesadilla.... mushrooms. Called and told them the issue and they offered me a $5 gift card. So i waist $15 on a meal that I can't eat and you think $5 is ok. And my beans and rice were cold. I have never had so many bad experiences with a restaurant and the food has ALWAYS been subpar. We only went because we got gift cards. I'll be throwing them away next time we get one. Went for lunch with a work associate and was very disappointed. I was seated by an employee who was on the phone. They remained on the phone for 10 minutes as he asked us what we wanted while holding the phone up to his ear. 15 minutes later the waitress came and asked us again what we wanted and then realized we didn’t have drinks. Drinks were given to us almost 25 minutes from when we were seated. The table where they put us was sticky and dirty. We were almost the only ones in the restaurant since it was 3pm in the afternoon but it took them almost a full hour to get us our food. They brought us out tortillas before giving us our food and they were cold before our food was given to us. When we asked for more they said it’s $1.50 per person for another round of tortillas (no problem with the charge but if the tortillas are cold because you served them too soon don’t charge me for them). Honestly I won’t ever be going back. Poor service, sub par food quality and a super long wait for an empty restaurant. The place also looks like it needs some updates. If you are going for an old look you should make sure that it’s not actually warn down and old but made to look that way from quality materials (i.e. the booth seating was eroding horribly). If you want to give people the cheap Mexican food experience don’t charge premium...

This is a very good restaurant for any occasion. It's nice enough to take someone on a more classy date, however at the same time, It's also the type of place you can visit with your friends or family and never really feel out of place. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Would definitely recommend there burrito Thursday if you're looking for a cheap yet high end dinner/lunch. The building is super old and has sort of a rustic feel to it. The only downside is during the summer it is EXTREMELY hot in there for some reason. I've been there multiple times and it's always super hot during the summer, especially in the front of the building or the west side of it. That really isn't a deal breaker for me but if you don't like the heat, avoid this restaurant during the summer time. A lot of it has to do with there tortilla press they have in the entry of it and the fact that a huge portion of this restaurant is outside. I'm not sure if it has air conditioning or not judging by how hot it seems during the summer. Overall I would recommend this place for just about any occasion.
